Class 421 CIG from Steam - carriage reversed

Post by mjfeagle »

I have just purchased the Class 421 from Steam however for some reason in Quick Drive on the 8 and 12 car BR Blue & grey sets the back driving carriage is the wrong way round. Has anybody else had this problem from Steam and if so any ideas as to how to resolve? Thanks in advance. Mick

you could try selecting it and when you get the large direction arrow over the top of the coach just reverse it?

Thanks. At what point do you suggest I select it?

You will need to go into the editor and change it around mate click the build icon on the main menu then select the route/scenario alternatively you can go into the consist builder and change it that way

Hi Mick,
Hmm.. This was an old issue with the 4cig. If you used a pre-formed consist from RSC or chose a ready made one in editor it placed one of the driving cars round the wrong way in the set. It affected 8 car sets and probably 12 car sets too but we are going back a while here.. I seem to remember some sets were ok whilst others were not. Maybe just the Blue Grey ones were at fault?
If you have just bought this pack and it's doing this it's a pretty poor show
If you are happy to go into editor, choose the 4 cig consists, if they show this fault correct them and save the changes. If you're not happy doing this then leave alone and ask the Vendors to sort it out.

Either way, Good Luck,

Easily done with RW_Tools. If you don't have it, I strongly recommend it (as just about everyone else here would) as the best, and essential, tool for TS2014.

Thank you for comments. I am a newbie at this so just finding my way. Could you explain more Kernow 2 what you mean by "go into editor, choose the 4 cig consists, if they show this fault correct them and save the changes."
Sorry for my ignorance. Mick

Hello mick
Don't worry about being a newbie I still learn somit new everyday

As far as I understand your problem just select a 8 or 12 car whatever you need and put it on the track and if you have your problem just select the driving coach that's the wrong way round so it slightly changes colour then you should have a large yellow arrow above that particular coach if you click once on that particular coach that should turn it around for you

Thanks all the help guys. Is there anyway that I can change the set-up once so that I don't have to keep changing it every time I want to do a quick drive? I am thinking if I edit the unit on the quick drive menu?
