Matt,can the FLying Pig loco be bought seperate to the Stainmore route?

One problem most of the 4mt's working over the Stainmore Line were single chimney ones, but its a stunning model!

On Facebook I asked about this and both will be supplied. As the double-chimney gave poor steaming, that version may well have it's performance reduced, too. The first 50 were built with a double chimney but they were fitted with single chimneys by about 1955.

In reality, probably not, but via the magic of a simulator who knows? i once got mallard and 15 mk1's over the west highland on msts.....

Just been rummaging around the net to find out whether the forthcoming JT Clan would be usable on Stainmore? Geographically appropriate, but my quick search didn't find any references to Clans on this line - or the axle load limit...

A 'Clan' was (as far as I know) never seen on the Stainmore line, but Just Trains other Standard 4MT 2-6-0 certainly was.....

From Peter Walton's 'The Stainmore & Eden Valley Railways': in its last years the line was worked by 2-6-0's like Ivatt 4MT and 2MT, Standard 4MT, 3MT and 2MT, plus Standard 3MT tanks and occasionaly by one of the last J21's. In 1958 DMU's took over the Penrith-Darlington trains. So most engines that were used on the line are (or will be) available in the game, only the Standard 3MT tender and tank engines are so far missing.

Given that lightweight steel viaduct I imagine there was a pretty restrictive axle limit on the line.

Originally RA2, later on it was relaxted to RA4 which is when the 4mt's started to appear.
