Different track types HELP

Post by 31160 »

Hello all

I am trying to finish off my route ive done all the synery etc so it really is the last bit, whilst trying out some AI traffic the game kept saying "unable to find route" so using the little square box thing in the linear objets i selected the travk to apply speed limits and direction instructions but in some areas it showed up different track types,im confused by this as the track is ED -GL throughout is there a way to pinpoint exactley what pieces of track is wrong ?? sorry if this is a daft question

There are no daft questions here! (well maybe one or two)

I've had a similar issue recently where just a few meters of track causes problems even though it was seemingly perfectly configured. A set of points had been there but I repositioned them because they were misplaced and they seemed to leave something behind them!! :-? I fixed it by re-laying about 10 meters of track around that point.

I've not had your specific problem where it's reporting different track types. You may have the delete and re-lay a bit of track. Sometimes TS editor just plays up a bit, but there's usually a way around it. Just remember to back up your route then you can try different fixes without worrying that you're messing up all your hard work.

whilst in editor mode press the space bar and keep pressing it until the tracks turn to ribbon colours these colours and textures will tell you the track type and speed limits etc, also before you get to that section you will get a section with arrows running up and down the tracks show directionality, to exit the mode keep cycling until the track turns normal again, you know your at the end when you get little green lines these are the signal links press again and normality is resumed.

Many thanks ill will give that a go, i should explain that the rout is a elongated loop with a route mileage of 12 miles, i intend the route to be of use as a scenario instuctional tool for everyone and/or a route to be used as a "layout" to do platform end scenarios i think it will be of some interest and as althogh ive tried a bit of re skining and failed abysmally its my way of giving a bit back to you all as i have had much help from the community in that regard
