So it look like we have a 159 as the bundled stock to go along with this, or what what would be a 159 if it was not missing the first class section and the MSL. With the HST as intercity traction of course. On a happier note however Dovetails routebuilding team seem to be surpassing themselves with the quality of the routes so far as Dawlish and the other sections look the part to me. In terms of stock I hold out hope for a FGW 143 to be included is well or perhaps a 150/1 as 159's only ran as extensions, plus that was only until the 2009 timetable change

I very much doubt the 159 will be included with the route. Far more likely that it will be sold as an associated bundle like the WSR diesel pack. For the route itself I reckon we will just get 2 scenarios with the HST, one up, one down and maybe a tutorial.

A FGW Class 143 would compliment the route perfectly.. but I'm not holding my breath and just think of the additional liveries released one at a time over the next year or so..
add a few grockles eating pasties and pies from Gays' Creamery and the scene would be complete!

As it happens, I'm knocking one up, as it were, at this very moment (and in between viewing the forum) :) .

Nice one Richard!
When you model the interior can you make sure there's fresh straw down and put the seats so close together that if you're 6'0 your knee caps are lifted off by anyone getting up from the seat in front of you please?

Whoa there Graham, my repertoire doesn't stretch as far as modelling, it's a reskin of Alan Jackson's freeware Class 144, a nice little runner that I've plugged on here before:

I am using the Steam FGW 150 textures as a basis, so at least it will look OK when paired with other stock. I'll try to post a screenshot before I retire for the evening,

Richard

The new shots look great :)

Some achievements have just been uploaded to Steam, seems we'll probably be getting a Class 143 with the route.

"ahem" seeing as Dovetail aren't really known for their sound I'll probably alias the sound to the AP 142. Could be surprised though and we get a fitting soundest either way I get a pacer I can inflict on workshop

:D Super news, in the words of Inspector Blake, "made my day that has" :D .

Despite my earlier doubts, this route continues to grow in stature - as I did suggest in the previous thread that was pulled, it does pay to wait and see how things develop before getting too over excited about what will or will not be included. Whilst trying not to buy into this way of thinking, as it stands from my personal viewpoint, what was looking initially like a probable sales purchase now looks like being a purchase soon after the route has been released and settled down.

Of course, this news does make my recent efforts to reskin a 143 seem now to be somewhat superfluous. Not at all, a DTG/Steam compatible model opens up many new possible opportunities  , no hard feelings DTG 8) .

Looking forward to some further details being released,

Cheers,

Richard
