DTG doing something right?!

Post by Anthony061 »

Hello all,
Here's something many may rejoice at or, in some cases, say "they should have done this before"... However, take a look at this: http://www.engine-driver.com/article/sh ... le-shooter
I think this is a step in the right direction. :)
One thing to note is that there is a subtle reference to an upcoming German route. Any guesses? (I'm going to guess one going from Frankfurt or Nuremburg HBF  8) )

The cynic in me says "the proof is in the eating", I also wonder how the time will be split between fixes, scenarios and research. I hope that it does bring at least some improvement.

DTG looking at GEML sounds promising, I still have issues and cannot get from one end to the other without a crash.
Looking forward to some news soon

Well, you can put me in the "about time too" camp and I think we should wait and see the results of this exercise before organising a parade.

At least they are acknowledging there are issues that need resolved. Personally looking forward to seeing what they do with the 101 (And praying whatever they do also gets rolled out to the original version).

Prove in in the Pudding - Prove it :)

Let the chap do something first before saying how good he is - or not.

Could ask him to fix the engines on the 117 for a start. :)

I'm not entirely convinced by this - remember that article when London to Faversham came out about the 'sound engineer', and RSC haven't managed to produce a better soundset since? I'll believe the bugs and glitches are fixed, well, when I see them fixed!

You're forgetting about the scrape of the dry windscreen-wiper, they nailed that one in glorious stereo!

promises... i've seen plenty enough from RSC, like the "we will try fix all of the bugs" at the release of RS under the name of "railworks", and still since that nearly all of those bugs untouched. Like the meme says: Show "proof" or doesn't happened :)

Is there a list of TS bugs ?
I still have not updated to 2014 because of the apparent problems it created, but I cannot find a list of what these problems are
At least then I could decide if they are serious enough (to me) to wait. (or not)
Cheers John

I wouldn't hold off on the upgrade as I don't think there were new bugs introduced, just old ones lay unfixed.

I see this as positive. Will the game be vastly different, probably not. But a step in the right direction.

I suppose this is to be welcomed if bugs and errors actually start to get fixed, If they want a complete list of faults they should check their emails.

I had essentially resigned myself to the reality that none of the problems were going to get fixed but there may be hope after all, perhaps all those negative steam reviews spurred them into action.
