TS 2013 Shinkansen-any news ?

Hi everybody, first of all, Happy New Year to all of You !

My question is ( if t9express is reading this -to You then )) does anybody know of any update on the shinkansen? Lost track of it after the beta release...???

HI.

I talked to him recently and yes it is slowly progressing, and with his development partners he has two Asian routes on the go in parallel (Shinkansen and another) and says that hopefully they will be out sometime over the coming months.

Do you have links to any screenshots of this project? I wasn't aware that someone was building a Shinkansen route.

Well, You can even try it -it's a beta version, messy for me, scenarios randomly crashing - I repeat, for me - but here You go

You need all 4 files, with additional scenery packs, there's a readme.
Good luck with that, if You manage to get the scenarios ( both free and standard ) working, please share the info, it's sad that I can't complete either of them..

Other than that, the gradients are not well established. The transitions between them are overly sudden. A long time ago I uninstalled the route for that reason.

Based on the comments, I might give this one a miss until it's in a more advanced state A shame really, I'd love to see some high-quality Japanese routes available for the sim.

I join the queue waiting for a quality Japanese Shinkansen route + trainset combo. How cool it would be to ride on the Tokaido Shinkansen, passing in front of Mt Fuji on the way from Tokyo to Shin-Osaka, onboard a N700A...
