What would you like to see in 2014?

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
I'll echo above and say a Class 89 would be nice. What else - Class 180 would fill a few gaps, Class 121 Bubble, Hertford Loop with Class 313 and an update to ECML South to include Car Stop Signs...
Must actually finish creating a scenario one of these days...!?

If you want you could do this yourself, it is really quiet easy. Are any such assets available in the route?89001 wrote:and an update to ECML South to include Car Stop Signs...
I am thinking of doing the same to PDL using BLM signs.

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
I know how to do it, but i'd rather do it with the precise knowledge as to where each of the stop signs are on each station. As I don't have this knowledge, i'd rather not undertake this plan. Nice idea though. It might be something I do a little research into...

Drivers Eye videos are a good start to locating signs of all descriptions along the route.
This is the "Flying Scotsman" London to Edinburgh from Video 125. Great video as are most of the Video 125 offerings - http://www.video125.co.uk/acatalog/Flyi ... urney.html

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
My top request - a route outside UK, US and Germany (hint Australia hint).
If that's not going to happen, Class 26 & 27 locos and Highlands, Kyle of Lochalsh and nth Scotland lines.

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
A Czech route, probably Brno to Vienna (Austria) would be nice as there will be its 175th anniversary this year. Would make a perfect use for HRQ's 1216 with the new cab to be released soon (hopefully)...
Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
My top 5 routes and traction i would like are as follows, North Wales coast looks popular
1. Manchester to Birmingham
2. Crewe to Holyhead
3. Waterloo to Salisbury
4. Class 304 & 323
5. Class 319 for Brighton Mainline
Most of other peoples on here i like as well, if we all get what we want i better start saving, my wallet might get a battering

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
If nothing else I would love to see some of the glaring omissions of the TS stable filled in.
1. With so much of the ECML now available in modern form the continued lack of Class 91 with Mk4s is a big hole. Yes, I know RSC popped up some clay render shots but that (along with the 92) seems to have gone very quiet.
2. 442, 319, 317, 315 and 313. Again, filling in big gaps for BML, L2B and GEML. (Again, I know a free (and perfectly acceptable) 317 exists but it doesn't look brilliant surrounded by the newest stock running around it on the ECML)
3. The Welsh Marches from Newport to Crewe!
4. I would love to see a steam era mainline route, preferably GWR!
And finally,
5. I would love to see a total tear down and rewrite of the dispatcher and signal logic. Something vaguely capable would be nice.
As an aside I must say in regard to the Class 91 I am really hoping it might resurface after the Steam sale finishes.

If only all problems on the big railway could simply be TAB'd past...
Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
1. 4COR EMU
2. Bulleid coaches in sets
3. Decent MN with correct flag name plates
4. Nice fully interactive Q1 (although I do like karma99's version it needs updating)
5. 2BIL and similar EMU's
Yep I'm a Southern Region man.

Thanks rfletcher72,
They look quite nice. Have to keep an eye on them, hopefully will come out with both Southern and BR sets.
Cheers Ron

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
I am surprised some posters have thought there have been too many Midlands routes
Maybe they are modern era routes, I must admit I don't take much interest in those. Peterborough isn't Midlands in my view, although my local East Midlands TV station would have you believe differently.
No, I don't know of any payware routes that include Derby, Leicester or Nottingham, that is a large and active part of the uk rail system, and even more so in the past.
If you do know of any I have missed out on please let me know.
The call for more routes in the south west is interesting, people are already stepping on each others toes down there, all trying to build the same route. So a bit risky for developers it would appear.
I think we will see more overseas routes from RSC, but that will likely lead to more disappointment for users, in that the chance that their country will be represented could be slim. Sales will be the governing factor there, my money is on an Indian route appearing, I would quite like to see that.
Someone above mentioned an even better Q1 than Karma99's excellent freeware version, well Pete is back working hard on TS2014 assets so you never know what might happen.

Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
If more overseas routes appear I would not expect them to wander far from home as it were. I think a RSC Canadian route appeared recently but I wouldn't expect too much outside of Western Europe, especially when there is still so much route mileage in the UK, US and Germany. In what will sound really cynical way they are like any other company, they will want to turn the biggest profit with the least amount of cost. Why suffer the extra expense of developing everything for an Indian route when they have an extensive bank of common assets for a UK route?briyeo1950 wrote: I think we will see more overseas routes from RSC, but that will likely lead to more disappointment for users, in that the chance that their country will be represented could be slim. Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
I would be happy if RSC would just provide some decent up to date manuals.
Re: What would you like to see in 2014?
1960's steam era routes:
1) Banbury - Birmingham Snow Hill - Wolverhampton Low Level (better still Oxford - Shrewsbury)
2) Shrewsbury - Aberystwyth/Barmouth
