Going slightly off topic but being set up as an individual is in someways better, you can control access and spam comments, permanently ban people and others.TractorBasher wrote:Strangely, KRoss Rails has been set up as a person on FB, rather than a page/organisation, so one can't "like" it.
Stupidly an organisation cant permanently ban people, I wish they could, I so very much wish they could.
Anyway back on topic.
had a look at the shots on fb, looking very nice, cant wait.

Also, some more pictures on the Kross Rails FB page showing the 87 and some BR Blue MK3 Sleepers as well.
(Unfortunately, non-Facebook users won't be able to access them, so I didn't bother with the link.)
Did they get the nameplate right?
Looks quite high on the bodyside in the shots shown on Kross Rails FB Page.

That nameplate is too high ,
Nice to see it's finally appearing in blue , though the lower nameplate position is no good for the reskinners other than for 87006 and 87012 in their experimental liveries (unless it can be removed) .
The TDM cables on the front also put the loco in a small timeframe in BR blue livery , A 5 minute job for RSC to remove them from the mesh and export the loco under a new file name .

Re: WCML Over Shap From Keith Ross
87001 is the only Blue one I know of that has a higher nameplate.
I was more worried that they'd leave the nameplate offset rather than centred. Didn't really notice the height difference until you brought it up.

The names plates are set as part of the bodywork as far as i know, I am glad there in now going to be a Br blue version great work, does it really matter if the nameplates are too high, it is great that there is goiing to be a new reskinxguerra wrote:That nameplate is too high

I don't think he did...... that was skoda. No real harm done in this instance but it can be important to accurately quote previous posts

+1. Centre headlight arrangement is another dead giveaway too.skoda wrote:That nameplate is too high.

Be interesting to see what names a bundled blue 87 comes with (if that's what we end up with here) as that'll tie down the era more precisely, not to say reveal the extent of the research that's been carried out.
Can I ask if the opaque windscreen issue was eventually sorted out on the RSC 87? Be a damn shame if any new release was still to be relegated to AI only use on account of something that was easily fixable.

Isn't it just 2 fsa wagons with a single small container on each?
They appear in the video in the link above

Re: WCML Over Shap From Keith Ross
Is the Mk1 Buffet in BR Blue by RSC? If so isn't that new?
Re: WCML Over Shap From Keith Ross
I thought that had been fixed. Or am I thinking of the iffy bogies? (I got the unofficial fix the minute I saw it uploaded so I'm not sure)1S811985 wrote:

The route looks fantastic though, as expected.
Add in AP's 86/87 sound package and the realism factor will be throught the roof

Had a reply from Keith about the 87 nameplate:
Keith Ross wrote:It is a decal fixed to the geometry, however I will see if I can get it lowered. I don't want a high nameplate to spoil the route!
