Hi Mike
I have noticed in ver 5.xxx latest that under Route Building Tools\Check Routes and Scenarios if I select a Career Scenario and "Clone" on many occasions it no longer asks if I want to clone it as a "Standard Scenario" and when cloned it still shows up as "RED" when chosen under Scenarios EDIT Scenarios and informs you that to edit it you need to clone it as a Standard Scenario'. Looking in the relevant xml file still shows "Career" in the deltastring line shown below.
Any ideas - my workaround is to open the cloned scenario xml file and change career to standard in this line d:type="cDeltaString">eStandardScenarioClass</ScenarioClass>
It now appears as a standard scenario in Edit Scenarios.
Any thoughts

No ideas, no code changes in the Scenario Editor screen were made at all in v5 or RW_Tools, so all I can think is there may have been some subtle changes in the Scenario.bin or ScenarioProperties.xml file -
Unfortunately, you might have seen the bush fires on TV from this part of the world, so I have other things apart from programming on my mind at the moment, but will get around to checking this asap.
I am also trying to install Windows 8.1 on my spare machine at this time, and it is a dog to get running...

Yes I did wonder if you were OK wrt the Bush Fires - they look pretty terrible on ABC 24. I see people in the Blue Mountains need to evacuate en masse today.
We all hope that you are safe and well and didn't lose your property!
BTW I've just got Win 8.1 up and running and using "Classic Shell" (a freebie) it looks more like Win 7 every day. In the latest APC mag (AUS) Nov there is a great article on how to get Win 8.1 running optimally - a good read if you have the time!!
Keep safe!

Yes, we are OK so far, but the smoke was awful from last Thursday on and as I have asthma it has not been the most comfortable of situations.
I just had a look at the Clone Scenario code, and it only asks if you wish to change a Workshop scenario to a standard one, it does nothing to Career Scenarios and does not look as if it ever did?

Mike
Glad to hear you OK - Not good news today as conditions worsen
I must have been mistaken about CS but to convert them to standard scenarios is just a matter of changing this line in the xml file from
d:type="cDeltaString">eCareerScenarioClass</ScenarioClass> to d:type="cDeltaString">eStandardScenarioClass</ScenarioClass>.
I think in the case oh WS scenarios this line is already set to standard but RW_Tools removes the workshop reference id and sets it to zero. (AFAIK)
Regards & Thanks

Re: Convert Career Scenarios to Standard Scenarios
Hi Peter,
I have fixed it in the next version so that it automatically changes clones of Career scenarios to show as Standard scenarios.

Fires seem to be under control now, also wind has changed direction so not under all the smoke today.
