Sheerness Branch ??

Post by ka959 »

Excuse an "ignorant Kiwi"

But I've just purchased the Sheerness Branch Extension, and I'm not quite sure where to start looking for it, so I can make a scenario for it, and play it soon. Trouble is, I can't find any info about it. Can someone please offer to give me something to go in, thanks ? Cheers !

Regards...

It`s an extension of the London - Faversham route, you need this to run it and it will show up when you run L - F

And, I don't think you know that I had a stroke a few years back, thus playing havoc with my memory, some things are a wee bit hazy at times, but I wouldn't try making myself look dumb if I knew the answer right-out, would I ? I prefer to try my luck asking, and usually get a polite answer, but this is the second time recently, that someone has been sarcastic at my expense. I'm no immature schoolboy, either, but, oh well, then you do get some, I suppose ! :/

What you read as a dig, I read as light hearted response with a touch of humour. I'm sure he meant not to offend, and he did take the time to answer your query.

Maybe the tone of the reply is a 'Spanish thing' ?

I have read better replies to genuine requests

I beg to differ, Sir, I am under the impression it is simply a question of badly worded response, by someone whose mother tongue is not English, just like yours truly :) ,who also happens to be Spanish, by the way.

I was joking - but even so it was a bit pointed rather than sympathetic

Hi Jim,
Like you I had a stroke about 3 years ago which has affected my short term memory,I can remember things i did in the 1960's,but sometimes I'm blowed if I can remember what I did 5 minutes ago.

I think it's not only this forum, that people jump to conclusions, when you don't grasp some thing first time,it's now a general thing in life, you can get it on buses at shops, what annoys me the most because my stroke affected my speech, people are always trying to finish some thing I'm trying to say.

I have just a look at the screen shot and surely it would be better to put that it needs the London-Faversham Route at the top not tucked away down at the bottom

sorry if there are some spelling mistakes, but blame the stroke.

If you look on RealTime Trains you will find more than one or two freights depending where on the route you look.
http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/search/ ... &order=wtt
On this day 16 freight services ran thru Gravesend.

You will see sometimes more than one freight path and the operator will decide as to where the train will run to/from each week.
The trains are a mix of container trains and stone/aggregate trains.
