Thanks for clarifying that, I for one certainly wasn't aware of the fact. Can multiple routes be selected before saving?

I believe so, there is certainly space for multiple routes when creating a QD consist with the BP Editor, though I haven't verified it personally

Maybe I've completely missed the point here, but there is a consist creator built into TS2014 which is used to create quick drive consists from stock which you couldn't use. There's no need to use RWTools, just use the tools provided with TS2014.

Unfortunately, there seems to be a lot of engines that either don't appear in the QD creator selection screen, or appear to Save, but do not appear in the QD selection screen and are thus not available to drive.

If you follow the instructions in this post, you shouldn't have any problems whatsoever :).

The built in consist creator only builds whole consists and then only when using RSC DLC stock. It does not allow you to build up a set of 'Fragments' such as say a rake of MK2 coaches which can then be added to a single loco to produce a new consist without having to rebuild a full consist all over again.

RW_Tools allows you to use any stock item you have installed, can build full consists and fragments of consists. Not the same thing at all, the TS2014 is just a limited copy of the functionality available in RW_Tools for the past 12 months.

I'm not arguing (just explaining why I'm right).

Thanks for that, FoggyMorning (very apt indeed here currently!), I shall have a play a little later, and see what happens.

This clears things up a little, Mike, thank you. I wasn't actually aware of what the fragments actually were used for :).
RW_Tools has indeed had this function for a year, but I think that the new Quick Drive selection interface in TS2014 has possibly opened up that aspect of the simulation to a wider audience. I know for one, that I find myself in RW_Tools more now, making Quick Drive consists.

Mike, thank you for giving the answer that RSC Support couldn't, they suggested I keep on verifying cache until nil files reacquired. To be fair, I had not told them I was attempting to make a consist comprising DT's 21C123 and a rake of Maunsell coaches, the coaches being the non DLC items, it did not occur to me, why should it? I did have success with RWTools, the resulting consist even shows in RW's Consist Editor but does not save if edited.

That's not true.
In the built in consist creator I've able to build consists with third parties rolling stock.

Do they work if the rolling stock uses files from other Provider/product folders? Others are reporting problems - eg. the reskins of the Class 158 that use Kuju couplings.

Afternoon everyone,

As has been posted here :- http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... &sk=t&sd=a - the built-in QD Consist creator / editor may show every loco that you have installed, and let you build a consist and apparently save it too. However, often once you've gone into the game and tried to find the consist that you thought you'd saved using TS to build it, the consist might not have saved, whereas by following the notes at the head of this thread you should hopefully not have a problem ... :).

Very Best Wishes,
Bob.
