I'd love the city link route that runs from Lichfield (Staffs) through Birmingham New Street and then to Redditch. I bought this as an expansion for MSTS and was very fond of it and it would be a good opportunity to brush off some older-style slam-door BR trains circa 1970-80s.

North Wales Coast - for sure. (My old stamping ground in my youth.) Maybe set in the 60s, before rationalization turns the line into a mere branch line. Bala Hub also. (Looking forward to Mold-Denbigh, Gordon!) Thames Mersey, Northwest England and Dorset Coast were also favourites.

That was my favourite in MSTS. Would be good to see it in TS2014 set in the same time period with steam.tnleeuw01 wrote:The old Austrian route, Innsbruck to St Anton would be my favourite! Set in that same time of the 1920, of course, with steam.
Well, I would love to see any route set in the interbellum, or very early 20st century / late 19th century.
But remaking Innsbruck - St Anton, with more extensions on the branch lines, more variety of rolling stock of that place and era, and up to modern standards - that would be a great start!

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one on this forum who like(d/s) this route best!Trev123 wrote:That was my favourite in MSTS. Love the driving through the mountains, along the cliffs, the bridge that disappears into the tunnel with the old castle next to it - great route
I also liked some of the German MSTS stuff, Spree - Oder route was nice, with the s-bahn in east Berlin. And there was another German route which was really good but I forgot the name -- I never bought it, only had the demo -- should have spent money on it then and bought it...
Cheers,

I really enjoyed the London Tilbury and Southend route, especially driving/being a passenger on the District line and watching the 2-6-4 tanks thrash by

Hi Keith,
But since I'm at the office now, instead of at home, I can't lookup if I still have the installer for it to check the route name.
Cheers,

Could be. It was a commercial route, of which there was a small stretch released as demo. The full route was supposed to run past a lake with a huge dam, as far as I remember.oldgreyowl wrote:Tim, did you mean the Black Forest route?

Although I spend most of my time on Railworks, I do still occasionally go back to MSTS. I never bought LSE, but I see Making Tracks are selling it as a download. Is it still worth getting?VeraTheMage wrote:I'd quite like a recreation of the astounding London & South East route. They could build on the original and include a 4CEP, Class 73, and a 205. If it were ever recreated, I wonder if they'd manage the grimy 70s feel that LSE pulled off.

ProTrain 37 - Straßenbahnnetz Berlin-Köpenick; absolutely brilliant tramway simulation set in 1970's East Berlin - 'Hauptstadt der DDR'.....
This is the only MSTS route I have on my PC; I had a good clearout when I changed from conventional HDD's to SSD's and this is all that remains of a once-mighty MSTS empire
Beautifully made, excellent scenery and a huge number of well-thought-out scenarios!
There's simply too few tramways available for TS2012/3/4 and this would be brilliant; I have tried running the MSTS version in Open Rails and the rendering is gorgeous but because of non-standard .eng files the running of trams is less than satisfactory

Someone did a Chinley to Ambergate in MSTS so a Manchester Central to Derby would be a good route.
Maybe the Schwarzwaldbahn - Black Forest Route in Germany would be good.
Steam then Steam/Diesel worked until 1977 and then electrified.

I've been watching with interest................and I've collected some info over the years myself if you are stuck for anything.TOMMO79 wrote:levisham wrote:I have never used MSTS but have always hoped that someone would do the Yorkshire Coast route,

One day this will cover it, I've laid track from Redcar to Whitby West cliff and have the data required to go to Scarborough and Malton, Tracklaying is the easy part but there's obviously a ton of scenery to add
