AP/Waggonz GA Class 90 coming from RSC?

GEML Class 90 (24 photos)



In partnership with Waggonz & RailSimulator.com, we are pleased to announce the GEML Class 90 pack which will be our first pack published via Steam. Following on from our hugely successful Class 90/Mk3 DVT Pack, we have worked with RailSimulator.com to create a pack tailored to their excellent recently released Great Eastern Main Line route. Please see below for details of what it will feature:

Class 90:
- Blue/white (S): Ex-ONE livery with evidence of the old stripes branding (standard headlights)
- Blue/white: Ex-ONE livery without any evidence of the old stripes branding (new LED headlights)
- Grey/white: Ex-NXEA livery (standard and new LED headlights)

Mk3 coaches:
- Blue/white: Ex-ONE livery without any evidence of the old stripes branding
- Grey/white: Ex-NXEA livery

Mk3 DVT:
- Blue/white (S): Ex-ONE livery with evidence of the old stripes branding
- Blue/white: Ex-ONE livery without any evidence of the old stripes branding
- Grey/white: Ex-NXEA livery

- 'Advanced' and 'HUD' variants of all Class 90 & Mk3 DVT liveries.

- 4 authentic and engaging scenarios for the Great Eastern Main Line route

- The groundbreaking wealth of features as already seen in our Class 90/Mk3 DVT Pack.

I'm guessing there's not gonna be much change of an GEML Scenario pack from AP now for those who bought the Class 90 in the first place? Must say I'm rather disappointed although I understand reasons why, kinda regret picking up GEML last week a little bit if there isn't gonna be a scenario pack to make good use of it

Why wouldn't they still be a scenario pack? It would just be like any other scenario pack with the required dlc being the NXEA 90s available from RSC instead.

I think there is even more chance there will be a scenario pack for the GEML maybe more than one , a passenger and a freight one eventually.

Yes good point, am not keen on having to buy the RSC one to if they make a scenario pack that includes it , i will wait till the christmas sales i think.

Oh no this is truly the worst news I've seen to do with Railworks in years, even worse than losing TrackIR, tunnel occlusion and RWTools to TS2014! The greatest independent developer in the history of the sim converted to the dark side???

Straight away we're seeing a one livery "GA class 90 pack" why not the whole class 90 pack like AP did themselves with every livery under the sun for £14.99?

If AP are now under the influence of RSC we can forget seeing another amazing bumper value, fully-featured pack like the class 90 or Pacer ever again.

Something you might not have considered: there are certainly a lot of benefits for a publisher in doing this, as AP has never put anything through Steam/RSC before- perhaps this pack will give them some idea of what the market is like on Steam?

Not feeling the love for this at all. The 90 is a lovely model and all that but am I paying another £11.99 for a livery when I've already paid £14.99 for the standard AP pack? RSC piggybacking on someone else's decent work I've come to expect but for AP this leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

As always people, feel free to vote with your wallet, that's how business works! The main thing here is that no-one has lost anything, the original Class 90/Mk3 DVT Pack is still as advertised to those who purchased it and hopefully those who have, are happy with its unparalleled value. This extra pack simply offers a little more for anyone who is happy to pay the price for the extra liveries/scenarios, and primarily, brings the loco to the much larger audience that Steam offers.

On a final note, please remember that this locomotive & DVT took a year to develop and that doesn't come cheap.

I say if AP/Waggonz can make extra money from doing this, then good luck to them. After all, they are trying to earn a living as well as doing it as a hobby.

At least you will be able to use the 90 in workshop scenarios now

Not feeling the love for this at all. The 90 is a lovely model and all that but am I paying another £11.99 for a livery when I've already paid £14.99 for the standard AP pack? RSC piggybacking on someone else's decent work I've come to expect but for AP this leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Don't see the issue here at all, AP/Waggonz are looking at ways to increase their revenue fr something in the making for nigh in a year.

RSC received dogs abuse on here and Facebook for the fact that GEML only came with one piece of stock so here they are possibly trying to redress the balance and everyone has cracked the pitchforks out already.

If anything it goes to show that NO creator is immune to the vitriolic backlash of this place if people decide they don't like something. The models are AP/Waggonz to sell under whatever terms they see fit and feel best serve them, I didn't see anyone complaining about the lack of liveries when the original pack was released - in fact the only complaint was it was so good and in demand the servers couldn't cope! But now all of a sudden people are feeling screwed out of money when they have the same product that they bought happily before this announcement. Its poor form once again UKTS.

You're not being forced to buy it... You don't have to pay another £11.99 for 'a livery' (where I think it will be a bit more than that - look at some of the Facebook screenshots that show new light clusters etc).

Yes it seems RSC bashing has become the norm on here and it is like AP is the people's girlfriend and she is cheating on them with RSC. It is up to AP what they do and it brings it to a larger audience.
