Sync Software- Need Help

Post by zigal »

What would be the best Sync Software to use to ensure one has a complete backup of the current installation on the internal drive (D). When updating (adding new sounds or stock) to the STEAM folder on D: one can use the sync software to update the installation on the external drive so that one has a mirror copy of the default installation on the internal drive on D: When stuff changes one does not need to do a complete BACKUP only run the sync program to update any changes made to the default program. I currently use SYNCTOY but this program is outdated and not so functional anymore. Any Suggestions please Guys...

And I use Synctoy 32 bit - and recommend it.

Have a look here http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download ... x?id=15155 .

I use Synctoy, but remember that if you have it set up to say run weekly on a Saturday and a new version of TS2014 arrives on Friday night, then that one will be backed up OVER your existing backup on Saturday, so you will not have your original version any longer...

So you really should be backing up your Content and Assets folders to an external USB drive NOW.

Try this link: http://freefilesync.sourceforge.net/ I've had no problems with it.

May be a false positive but Malwarebytes detects things that AV's won't/can't.
