JT Mid Hants - Any good for assets?

Post by rkk01 »

As Mid Hants is on offer until the end of the w/e...

... is it any good for route building assets? A footbridge from a line I'm planning to build was relocated to the MHR, and whilst I wouldn't buy a route for a single FB*, the possibility of a bunch of SR assets for under a tenner might be useful...

Any thoughts from owners of the route ???

* especially as JT have a habit of including them as part of the station model :-(

I believe the route is mostly Kuju assets.... except the station buildings and the sheds and a few signs specific to the route
Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.

We haven't done anything to the form and wouldn't do anything like that to prevent people getting an offer - simply no reason why we would. Have you reported the subscribe error to our support team so they are aware of it? I will also report it directly as it needs to be fixed if there is an issue.

Please note that you don't just get the subscriber offer by subscribing, you would had to have been subscribed when the monthly newsletter was sent to have been notified of the deal.

Thanks,

Simon

We do give the option to set your preference on the sign up page, but we don't have a system yet for updating existing users without subscribing again (eg: manually telling us via the sign up page, which would refresh the "interest" field info for your address). It's a right old pain for us and we know it needs a better way of allowing people to say what they want, and we've been looking at ways to do it for many months now. Sorry.

Thanks,

Simon

Hello Simon,

I have reprtorted my problem about trying to subscibe to your news letter, and have just tried again to day but all I get is, Sorry, your details could not be saved at this moment. Please try again later.

I really like your products dating from the days when you were doing Items from MSTS and TS20XX well don't know how many versions there will hence the 20XX.

Will the old Bristol - Exter run on TS2013\4 as I want to get it for the route, but also some of the addon routes require it.

My three year old boxed copy works fine in TS2013, and I can download all the patches I need from the JT support page.

I can only assume that it'll also work fine in TS2014, as RSC have advertised that old DLC will still run.

Obviously the download version of Bristol to Exeter will be fully patched up to the latest release anyway so may be a better bet than the boxed one, but then that's up to you.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/65224 Maybe this will tell you if it'll work or not. But if your going to buy it I would say buy from JT and support them.

Thank you for reporting it. Strange as I checked it last night after posting my reply and it worked ok, so it doesn't seem to be the form itself broken. We'll make sure it gets fixed though, as it should work all the time for everyone (and is quite frankly useless if it isn't!)

This depends...

If you've got TS2013 (which was upgraded from RailWorks 3 TS2012) then yes Bristol to Exeter will work fine.

If you've got TS2013 and never had TS2012, then it will require the EU and US and Foliage Pack assets which were previously default but were removed from TS2013. You may have those assets if you have some other DLC such as West Coast Main Line North (there are several routes from Steam that include the old default assets with them). I think you can also still buy Bristol to Exeter on Steam which does include the required assets too, but I don't know if the Steam version has other updates that we did and provided directly to Just Trains customers.

As for TS2014, no idea. We'll find out when it is released later this week. We expect it'll work if you had it working before (unless there are changes which break existing content - we hope not!) but for totally new TS2014 users they'll probably still need to buy some additional content to get those old default items back.

There may be further updates to Bristol to Exeter once TS2014 is released, I believe some may have already been done but not released as there didn't seem much point doing so just to find the new version needed yet more changes. This of course applies to all add-ons and I think may also be why the GWR Manor update has been delayed.

Thanks,

Simon
