Route - Best Graphics?
Guys
Any particular route that you could recommend which stands out in terms of its graphics capabilities. I do know that some of the older routes just cant keep pace with the graphics and atmosphere of the newer ones. Any suggestions?

I have just started using freeware Torino-Geneva, and was very impressed by the first scenario I tried - graphically v. intense.

How would that compare to the WCML North?

Re: Route - Best Graphics?
What there is of it compares favourably with WCML, and very good as freeware. Probably not much in it, qualitywise. I did initially attempt to make a scenario on T-G, but discovered scenery was incomplete in places and the line seemed to come to an end, even though the 2D view didn't suggest this. So, up to a point it's a question getting what you pay for - or not.

Western Lines of Scotland and Woodhead. A warning though. my PC is pretty powerful (see below) but I get SBHH if I overpopulate the various sidings and yards.
Intel Core i7 2600K 3.40GHz @ 4.60GHz,
Nvidia GeForce GTX 580 3072MB
Motherboard: Intel Z68 (Socket 1155), 8MB DDR3 RAM. On-board Sound
Windows 7 64
I Mean, that should do it?

Re: Route - Best Graphics?
Is the WLOS the same author as WCML North. If so I must get that.. Is that route mainly Steam - The same as Woodhead?

I believe both WCML and WLOS were by Keith Ross, and for me WLOS is the standard to beat currently, it's truly superb. I get surprisingly reasonable framerates too on my old Dell Precision M6400, with Quadro FX3700M 1gb GFX card, Core2Extreme x9100, and 16gb RAM. My Railworks is on the primary HDD which is a Samsung SSD. I have a reasonable level of detail and effects set, and still achieve 18-35 FPS depending on scenery intensity, so the route appears to have been thoughtfully designed in that regard.
I mainly use steam on WLOS, the heavily weathered Black 5 is a favourite, and with SSS Sounds to top it off, the atmosphere is incredible. I'm planning on cloning a couple of the activities and using the new UK 'Very Foggy Weather Patterns' that Newbouy uploaded t'other day........

Thanks KGB
That was exactly what I thought. Do you think I should purchase the WLOS before the update or wait till after??

Personally whilst WLOS and WCML are good, I would recommend Creative rails: China Clay route and East coast mainline part 1, both very detailed and the colors a little more toned down.

Three Country Corner and Berlin-Wittenberg. The weather effects and skies they both have are absolutely stunning.
