I hope it will be good, but I have slight reservations as I believe it is from the author of the E94, so I will be interested to see some good external screenshots.

I lost interest as soon as I saw the cab is pitch black in the middle of the day and you have to open the firebox to see enough to see the switch to turn on a cab light.. Seriously.. It's daylight out in the video and it's night time in the cab.. Did they just blatantly disregard how light works on purpose for pointless mouse clicking to make it seem like it's a "feature" to see in the middle of the day?

I can't be the only one who see's the insane contrast in lighting between outside and then inside the cab. It doesn't even make any sense..

And the texturing is embarrassing... I wouldn't pay more than $5.00 for this tops... It's good for an independent website.. But JT offering this kind of stuff is terrible..

I mean.. There is clipping on the entire right side of the cab in their own promotion video... Terrible...

Sorry Styckx, have you ever been on board a real steam loco? What you see on the right side of the cab is not any clipping, but the side window fully open to see the outside world without glass. The glass triangle is a protection for the driver when his head is out of the window. On rainy days you will see anyhow raindrops on it.
Hope this helps
Thanks

Personally I think it is a great model, be frightened to drive it though, can I have the fireman do the necessaries whilst I drive it Bernd?! Love the German steamers, great pack imo and I think you are being a bit too harsh there Bill. :-?

Don´t be too frightened to drive the engines, Martin. They will come in two versions: advanced and simple. If you drive the simple one, you don´t have to care about priming and boiler explosions etc., just have fun and let the automatic fire-man do his job if you like, even if he is not the best one. The outmost fun however, I am having when driving the advanced version, caring about all details, e.g. generator, priming etc.
Best regards

Nice. And thanks Bernd for the info. :)
@Bill, yes one can often jump out the window not realising you're on the fifth floor!

I was very impressed with all the work done on these models and the many things that have been included to enhance the Steam Locomotive driving experience. There are some areas that perhaps could be slightly improved, as Bill has commented on, but overall I am very pleased to see the excellent results of all the hard work that has been put in by this Team to produce such an interesting package. This must have taken them quite some time to be able introduce the many 'new' features available with these models and congratulations go to all that have been involved.

May I say a 'special' thanks to Bernd for the English speaking video of the models, which explains everything very clearly and in an interesting format and I look forward to its release.

Game really needs another good german steam loco, so points for that.

Now, i wonder when we get that route used for testing, there was some discussion of it long time a go... :D (1950's era German route, that is, not Hagen-Siegen...)

Definitely a nice change to have a new German steam loco, and some of the features such as the waving passengers and baggage loading look brilliant. Looking forward to the release :)
