This November will be 10 years since first joining UKTS. Got my own faster computer that allow to run MSTS just a few months later.

Cheers :D

11 and a half

Plus I was also a member of the pre-phpBB forum, whilst I got transferred over my joining date got lost in the ether.

Like Ash, my fondness for train simming has waned over the past couple of years, though oddly my interest in the real thing has increased, and I now have a job involved in railways (well, trams!).

I fondly remember those early days when MSTS was new and exciting - the difficulties in getting all wheels to spin on the 'new' class 47 models was one I recall from the early days; shortly followed by the bogies pivoting the wrong way if you reversed the loco in the consist editor. I also remember getting very bored of the default S&C, so would regularly put what little freeware British stock there was at the time on the Marias Pass!

Hi Everyone, looking at how long I've been a member and next March it will be 7 years, I'm still using MSTS
as much as before and cannot see me stopping for quite a while yet.
I've had the pleasure of travelling on several Routes made for the Sim in the train and been impressed at
how realistic they are.
The new stuff which are planned for release shortly, show that there is still a lot of life left in the old Sim.

I wasn't a member during my childhood....well past it in fact; but I'm pleased to say that UKTS has comforted me well into my second.

Cheers Bazza
If I make sense 50% of the time, that's good; but if I make sense 100% of the time....you should seek professional help.
Or, Prove to me that you're a **certified**lunatic** and can prove it......otherwise, judge me not.

 ...the secret of eternal youth!

Don't know when I joined because there was a huge melt down of the membership database sometime in 2001?2002? and since then my join date is as shown. I actually joined before that date.

There have been some major disappointments over the years, Two MSTS2's developed and cancelled without release. The big bust up over payware and the withdrawals of files by some members etc.

By and large though this has to be one of the most constructive and long lived PC sims after Flight Sim? Good to see there are still a few new bloods finding there way here too and that not everyone has jumped ship to the newest Sim.
