Railtours are a bit of a niche market for scenarios at the moment, as far as I'm aware, there is only this and the S&C Class 57 railtour pack, but I don't own the latter as I was a bit wary about railtours and I was about this pack too. Problem with some railours is that if you want to make it 100% realistic with the timings, then you'd end up in a few loops for hours or getting held for a long time, seeing that tours have a lot of padding.
But this BP 4.1 tour is an absolute cracker! It is a good choice for AP especially as it makes use of the Ardingly branch too, not actually been up that bit of track until I drove this! The AI is fantastic and all the paths between you and the AI work like clockwork, I was impressed as sometimes I struggle to get a path working from the Slow to the Fast without the dispatcher knowing what I want it to do!
For £4.99 it really is great fun, plus with the updated AP Class 37 Pro sounds I was giving the 37/4's a good thrashing. You also get the McBuffer Puffer tour though I haven't tried it yet as I don't own the Class 156, though I can imagine that is good too. You also get 37401, 406 and 410 is some incredible detail liveries and come with or without Pathfinder headboards, which I really like the look of.
The headboard is also a 'misc' scenery item in the scenario editor, you could probably use the headboard on other locos for photoshoot's.
Well done AP for nailing it on the head, it is spot on! The pathing is the exact path the tour took bar one diversion on the way back to Victoria, running via Norbury but of course the Crystal Palace route is not on L2B, but Richard still managed to slot a path in perfectly.
If you like 37's and Railtours, this really is a good experience for a decent price
