JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
JT showed the cover art for their Three Country Corner Route on FB yesterday and the route developer has posted on rail-sim.de today that the release date would be announced soon (several days).
The dev also posted a new video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4NH_zEMoLo
And the route manual:

The route looks fantastic and it will most probably be the first add-on I will purchase the first minute it is released...

I also read on rali-sim.de that Aerosoft is publishing a Railjet Taurus.
I cant find any info on it but sounds interesting (unless its a re-release of the simtrain one).

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
I believe it is the simtrain version, the screenshots on the Aerosoft preorder page are the same as the ones on the simtrain.ch site. As for stock, an ICE-T would be very nice, as would an S-Bahn Vorarlbergbahn unit. Still, the route looks absolutely fantastic, can't wait for thisDaveDewhurst wrote:I also read on rali-sim.de that Aerosoft is publishing a Railjet Taurus.

Why an ICE-T do they work over the real route?tomtrain wrote:I believe it is the simtrain version, the screenshots on the Aerosoft preorder page are the same as the ones on the simtrain.ch site. Or is this a German trains only route?
What about some Austrain, like the 4024, and Swiss Stock for the line?

OBB ICE-Ts run to Bregenz from Vienna and Innsbruck through the Arlbergpass so yes, they would be at home on the route. The S-Bahn system I mentioned uses 4024 units. As for Swiss stock, I'm not sure what runs on this particular line. I know the St-Gallen S-Bahn runs on the Rorsarch-St. Margrethen section of this line, and they use Stadler GTW and FLIRT units, and the Vorarlberg S-Bahn runs from Lindau to St. Margrethen using 4024 units. As for regional and intercity services, I don't know.749006 wrote:Why an ICE-T do they work over the real route?

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
I had forgot the OBB has some ICE-T units on lease so they would be good for the line. Most main line services are worked by OBB 1016/1116 locos and the Rail Jet Taurus 1116.tomtrain wrote:OBB ICE-Ts run to Bregenz from Vienna and Innsbruck through the Arlbergpass so yes, they would be at home on the route. The OBB 4024 units work to St Margrethen from Bregenz along with the S-Bahn service you mentioned. - http://peter749.piwigo.com/picture?/251 ... n_railways
The Euro City service from Munchen to Zurich is worked by a SBB Cargo Re421 [Re4/4III] between Lindau and Zurich via Bregenz.
It has to be an Re421 because the locos have Swiss and German/Austrian pantographs.

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
I'm very much looking forward to this route. Holidayed By lake Konstanz many moons ago but only managed a couple of train rides non of which were there! Might need the Simtrain route for the stock, however its only a small portion of the route, so mainly German and OBB stock, luckily I have the HRQ Taurus and some OBB coaches from railsim.de.
Best Regards

I think JT could be right when they say "the most demanding route yet"
I'm up for the challenge as and when.....

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
I assume the RE421s take over from DB diesel stock at Lindau? Also, do any Deutsche Bahn services travel beyond Lindau towards Bregenz/Bludenz?749006 wrote:I had forgot the OBB has some ICE-T units on lease so they would be good for the line. Also, it'd appear that the OBB uses double deck stock on it's REX services from Lindau towards Bregenz and beyond: http://www.bahnbilder.de/bild/oesterrei ... aehrt.html
I can't seem to find the OBB coaches on rail-sim.de, are they the same as the ones on railworks-austria?smarty2 wrote:I'm very much looking forward to this route. Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
I'm really looking forward to this. Visited the area a couple of years ago, witnessed one of the most spectacular sunsets that I'd ever seen - everything went pink! My only criticism is that I'd have liked the route to have included Friedrichshafen and the harbour branch, but, perhaps that might come along later, if we are lucky..

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
The Zurich services are worked by single or double headed 218's in to Lindau. Although Lindau is wired it's only the line from Austria.tomtrain wrote:I assume the RE421s take over from DB diesel stock at Lindau? Also, do any Deutsche Bahn services travel beyond Lindau towards Bregenz/Bludenz?

There used to be a few DB services thru Lindau to St Anton but I don't know if they still run.
I did not know about the double deck stock around Bregenz - http://www.bahnbilder.de/bild/oesterrei ... aehrt.html
I wonder if it was for a special event?

Possibly, although a German wikipedia article about OBB double deck stock seems to suggest that they're used on a regular basis749006 wrote:The Zurich services are worked by single or double headed 218's in to Lindau. Although Lindau is wired it's only the line from Austria.

Also, JT have hinted at a major release next week on their Facebook page. Presumably this release would be the 3CC route.

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
Just noticed that on Rail-sim.de today their are scenarios available for download for Just Trains Three Country Corner Route. Interesting since despite the posts on this subject I was not aware that it had been released yet and Just Trains web site this evening still proclaims it to be 'under development' and coming soon!

Re: JT Three Country Corner Route may be just around the corner
Hi, I was just about to write a post about it. Per all signs from the discusssions there it seems the route will be released tomorrow or on Friday, my best guess is tomorrow. The scenarios were pre-downloaded to rail-sim.de by the route developer to offer some alternative scenarios for those having extra German payware (namely HRQ Taurus, BR111, BR218).x5pgr wrote:Just noticed that on Rail-sim.de today their are scenarios available for download for Just Trains Three Country Corner Route. This route looks really amazing; although I am not at home and currently only on a limited mobile data plan, I'll do my best to get the route to me and test it at least on my laptop as soon as it is released.
