Birmingham 2010 update..

well I finished Nuneaton - Whitacre section.

I remodeled a lot of Nuneaton, put the Birmingham Platforms nearer the Trent Valley lines as they are.
Spent a day putting up decent overhead wires.
Couple of basic scenarios use the class 66 but you should have it..
Got a new computer and ended up in such a mess with things I need to see all OK before sending to UKTS, it works ok on my trial computer.

Hi Geoff

Running my own scenario from Nuneaton to Small Heath to give my new Class 57 a run. Noticed a coal working in the air East of Whiteacre where there are some unnamed sidings. Also getting routed via Whteacre sidings and not the main line for some reason.

I am sure it will all get sorted but thought you might want to know.

Is it your intention to label more sidings etc in the final version?

The sidings are Daw Mill colliery which is closed but I will name the sidings.
I will put a siding marker on the main outside Whitacre sidings. The controller is very found of putting main line trains through sidings. you will have to route trains via the main as at other places on the route.

Great Geoff - yes markers would be useful so you can do a go via instruction to avoid sidings.

Did enjoy my run down to Small Heath though!

Small Heath, forgot about the GWR!
I am nearly done the Reddich branch, all countryside so a couple of miles done per day..

I remember going to do as far as Tyseley at least on the GWR to get in the preserved scene. perhaps will do that next week...(on bigger routes you forget what you have done.. at my age anyways.)

Excellent, me and my eldest lad (6) love this route, as residents of Redditch and regulars at the Lickey Incline it is just perfect for us. We use the X-City south a lot as well.

Just a quick query, which is an offer but not a criticism - would you like any help with correct speed limits on the routes? I'm a guard and I've worked all of the main routes (stopped X-City in 2008) and still work between Bromsgrove and Derby and Brum to Nuneaton on a daily basis.

I have TS2014 running through Steam. I have purchased First Class membership from Railworkers and 'bought' the Birmingham 2010 V6 - see http://www.railworkers.co.uk/product/bi ... -route-v6/. It seemed to download OK and I can see the files in the Steam folders. BUT there is nothing in the game menu when I run TS2014- so I cannot use it. What do I have to do to get it running? Ideas gratefully received....

I had the same problem as you Malvern, the installer ran but nothing showed up inside the game.

In my case the route folder wasn't copied and some of the assets were missing as well, so i think the installer failed to copy everything, probably because i already had some of the assets. Anyway - my solution was to manually copy all the folders from the install package, and then it worked.

Please note that even when you download the installer you still need to manually download a few assets from UKTS for some of the scenarios.

Best place to ask would be Railworkers, they seem to have 'exclusive rights' to the newest version so only they'll know for certain whats what with it.

I'm not 100% sure but if I remember rightly their installer only installs to the default location easily, if you have the game outside of the default location you'd have to manually edit the install path which includes the route GUID.....so if you didn't make a note of that it could just be sat on your harddrive in the wrong place.

Yes you do need to do a bit of manual loading but the route has certainly improved from the prevous version.Well done Jeff.It could really do with some modern scenarios as the ones provided are plentiful but by enlarge show very little A1 traffic,so they are more like free roams.
A very under estimated route,I would say it has a lot of potential.
