Bought the London Faversham and when I try to start TS I get a message something bad has happened to your program would you like to save a diagnostic. Going to try a verify game integrity.

To continue my London Faversham saga updating 3.1gb it was so slow in downloading (usually download at 1.2MB/s) it was going to take about 30 days to download. Left it downloading and came back about 1 1/2 hours later and it had finished. Started up TS and the route is there.

Managed to pick up four routes and a couple of extra locos...original plan (yes, honestly, I had a plan) was for three routes but Chris mentioned the London-Faversham was on for 80% off so I grabbed it too (plans are meant to be altered!). A bit of U.S steam, U.K steam, and the Dash 9 rounded it off. Now just have to wait and see if any further discounts happen, but otherwise completely pleased with the sale this summer. <slips on hockey helmet and pads...waits for Missus to come home>.

Kind regards,

Dave (the weak)

Hope you will enjoy all the routes though as well :D

@Bgriff: Enjoy Half Life 1 & 2, Did you get the complete Half life bundle? Either way they are brilliantly great games and love replaying them.

Just got the BL2 Season Pass for a friend for doing a server for Killing Floor (Which i strongly recommend)

Got the 4BIG, Freightliner Class 57, Big Boy, Jinty, Union Pacific Challenger, and WLoS!

Wanted the Cl 50, but alas not in the sale for some strange reason...

Bought a bunch of stuff that I need to make scenarios work - Blue 101, FL 66v2, 325, 86, 156, 158 and 390. Also bought the Jubilee as Iv'e been after this for a while.

Still would like to pick up the 31, 33, A4s and WLOS, but will wait to see if the discounts increase :P

2MT has disappeared - can only assume that DT didn't want it to be in the sale (?), which is fair enough

ETA - [Stupid Boy Mode]
Big Boy, ... Union Pacific Challenger
Presumably these are the same track gauge, although obviously "out of gauge" for UK route clearances - but in a stupid / fun kind of way, would they run on UK sim routes

Picked up Isle of Wight, Doncaster Works and Falmouth Branch, really decent discounts on those!

Was tempted to pick up Bioshock Infinite as well, but I'm going to wait to see if it gets cheaper. It'll probably be in the Encore Slae at the end of the sale period anyway if it doesn't. Going to pick up the full Grand Theft Auto 4 bundle (even though I have it on the Xbox 360), just so I can take advantage of my lovely new nVidia GTX670! It's currently in the Community Vote, so hopefully it wins through so it's 75% off ratehr than 50%.

Class 31 - the early version ie "Class 31 Add-on"

I posted to this thread yesterday about the possible mistake in the Sale listing for this loco ie it was showing at original price - as was the Class 50.

I said that I would contact RSC with my query.

First thing this morning they replied back to me as follows:

Dear Adrian,

Thank you for contacting the Railsimulator.com customer support, your inquiry has been logged with a member of our dedicated customer support team.

It is an error on steams part, they have been informed and it should be amended and corrected shortly, Please check that the prices have been discounted before you make any purchases,

Please reply to this email rather than generating a new email, this will avoid any confusion, it also enables us to read the history of all correspondence in order to provide you with quicker assistance and better support.

Keep an eye on the Train Simulator 2013 website: http://www.railsimulator.com or Like us on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/railsimulator for all the latest news
and details about upcoming releases.

Regards

Rail Simulator Support

Have to say, top marks to RSC for by their return response to me and also in contacting Steam to get the mistake corrected

Hope others on here will now want to add one or both locos to their collection - Note the posting by Nobkins re the reskins for the class 50

Aye, I realise that...!

Wondered if anyone had tried it

I've seen the piccies of 66's being towed for export - and they look like toy trains...

Steam also told me there was a problem with my card, but still it downloaded my purchase. Will have to check my bank account later.
