Change bogie run sounds for coaches

Post by tubemad »

Hello all,

So how easy is it to change bogie run sounds? I have RW Tools if that helps!

Basically, I have a few coaches from the UK Freeware pack, and the Riviera MK2 Oxford blue/cream coaches are perfect for realistic rail tour formations. However it references to the tinny default rail sounds, and makes the coach sound light. I have purchased the Steam Supreme coaching stock sound pack, but doesn't look like it will change all the default coach sounds (though it might!) The default sounds also apply to reskinned DT MK1s and MK2E's, they don't refer to the default DT sounds.

So I would like to change all this to use the Digital Tration sounds. Is it an easy job to do though? Anyone done this before and can guide me through?

Cheers,

James.

Hi James,

Make a note of the coaches with the sounds that your happy with,open that coaches BIN file so you can read it.Scroll down to the line that reads;

<BogieAudioControlName d:type="cDeltaString">Kuju\RailSimulator\Audio\RailNetwork\Bogies\*************</BogieAudioControlName>

Note,the path name might be different because I do not have steam sounds payware you just bought.******Above is only an example******

You just need to copy the line from the good sounding coaches to the coaches you want to change.

Please make a backup before any editing.
