Announced on Facebook today..
Produced by Metro-Cammell in Birmingham, the Class 101 was considered to be one of the most successful first generation diesel multiple units ever produced by British Rail, and is coming soon to Train Simulator in familiar BR liveries.

It's good to see it finally making a return & I spy a passenger view in one of the shots. Whether that is enough to persuade me to buy a 2nd version remains to be seen.

As I said several months ago there has always been a personal plan of Derek's to sort out the glows etc. from the original units.*

It's not for me to say whether or not the existing stock will get the same features as whatever is planned with the new units, or indeed whether any changes will appear at the same time as a new release. But there is a plan for an update of some kind to take place at some point.

Cheers

Bob

**Controversially I suspect that the more people bang on about it the less likely it is that you'll end up with what you're banging on about. But that's just a personal thought all of my very own. :)

Is this in reference to the model or your far too predictable stance

I would possibly be interested in this, if it sorts issues that the original had

Screaming gears
Silly physics
Limited cabview
Poor sounds
11.99 for rain and lit effects would be a tad too much methinks.

Did the Strathclyde 101 fix these? If not, you're likely out of luck.

Was there any particular part of my post that you struggled to understand there, Andy, or was it the whole thing? :-?

Its the way of the forums now unfortunately, I believe it is called constructive criticism.....oh wait!

If RSC bought out the entire fleet or BR Rolling stock and offered it free people would still be clamouring to find a reason to criticise!

call me jaded, but these nebulous "plans" frequently don't come to fruition.

brilliant.

for what it's worth, i have backed RSC for quite some time on here, but find their current practise of reaming customers for re-skins quite disappointing.
