Siding Markers

Post by greenleader »

I am just curious to the behaviour of TS2013 sometimes. As background, please read the following posts:
http://www.trainsim.com/vbts/showthread ... fill-point
http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... a#p1636083

In the end I did manage to get it right with the help of John.

Now I am busy creating a new scenario. It is not necessary to give the name of the route as this happened to me before on other routes also.

I put a siding marker on a track in a yard. Then I give the driver instructions to drive to a certain point. He must cross this siding marker, but I do not use it in the instruction yet. Now after he has finished whatever task, I route him to another point and give this siding marker as a via point. Immediately the whole Driver Instruction box gets that ugly red marks. Now previously I altered the scenario until the timetable is normal again.

After I struggled with the Water refill scenario, it suddenly striked me. I saved the scenario, with this ugly red marks, close TS2013 and fired it up again. All of a sudden everything is fine.

Further down the line, I put a siding marker at which point I want to give an instruction to the driver and again this ugly red stripes. Again I followed the advice of John and it worked again.

Now, why does this happened sometimes and other times you can route over siding markers as you wish and no ugly red stripes?

That kind sir is one of the mysteries of RW. Sometimes its worth just clicking on instructions and re-selecting them again as this can clear errors. Keeps us creators on our toes though.
