Just a thought but surely they will be included if they are in the same screenshot?

Why can't RSC update the old ones and re-release them!

Funnily enough, thats what a large majority of people are saying on their facebook page. I think we can now safely say that for RSC releases, its pretty much one or two liveries at the most. It seems they are milking the cash cow for all its worth.

I have the woodhead 08 (and the originals) and also the nice BR Blue skin for the woodhead pack. £11.99 for a modern livery? No thanks.

I hope RSC smell the coffee because really I think the majority of us expect more, especially in times that are tight for many people.

Compare this to WLOS, (Obviously not developed by RSC) and you got a huge route, a plethora of wagons and a really nice B5 with 3 different liveries. It just doesnt add up.

I have the original 08 pack and the 'up the junction pack' also have woodhead variant too, I have to say I am a little disappointed with the way RSC are doing things just lately.

They're MEA and MFA wagons. Looks like the Meshtools ones, perhaps?

Might be, maybe a bit upgrade though... I am not liking the way RSC seems to be heading either, seems as if they have just painted the Woodhead 08 in modern colours ,added dual braking, and thats it..

Two liveries, a couple of scenarios and raindrops on the window and they will probably want £11.99 for it? This is madness.

How on earth anyone is supposed to make scenarios these days is beyond me. Just think about all the different versions of the class 08 we will have now. No point in using the older packs as none of our newer members will have the required stock to run them as intended. RwTools is a very good at swapping stock out, but I hate the fact it is now becoming the norm for running this simulator.

I will hold my breath untill this DLC is released however, in hope that we do get a completely revamped model with advanced scripting and realistic physics. Then it may be worth the asking price which some have speculated at. We will see...

It does seem that Facebook users have started bashing RSC already, but they do make some good points.

If everybody stopped buying RSC DLC, they would have to listen to us then. It's quite ridiculous, £11.99 for a SPT 101. Really RSC, I mean, really?

This tactic must clearly be working because they're doing it routinely now. They must be getting sales and making money or they wouldn't continue with this practice.

The thing that bugs me the most is not the bonkers asking price for essentially reskins, but instead I'm bitterly disappointed at the distinct lack of new innovative products. There is a definite tactic of minimal effort DLC taking precedent over brand new products built from the ground up. A prime example is the new unit that looks exactly like the old 166 but with a couple of square boxes bolted on the front end. Out of the several dozen DMU/EMU classes that have prowled our network over the years, it's no coincidence that they decided to go for something which is almost identical to the 166, why? because all they have to do is a bit of minor tweaking to the existing model and it's good to go with minimal work put in. Same blueprint, same cab, same body etc. Other examples of this practice are 101 - 111, the Royal Mail unit thing which was also just a tweaked 166 and not to mention the re-releases of older stock with minimal changes SPT 101, class 66, class 08 etc. If these were significantly overhauled from the ground up then it would be a different story, like the 47 and Deltic which are in dire need of a new cab, but these revamps barely scratch the surface.

RSC seem to have given up on creating new loco's like the missing AC electrics and it is really disappointing.

The reason for that could just be the time constraints their release schedule brings. I am sure RSC has the talent in-house to push things further, but innovation needs time.

We dont know how popular the recent spate of RSC homegrown releases have been. I am sure that TS2012s audience is at its largest, but perhaps those with more time on the sim can see through the gloss of reskins. Perhaps RSCs focus is a new audience that wont have the back catalogue we have. Who knows?

All we can do is vote with our wallets. Thankfully there is a deluge of 3rd party stuff coming out an in the works to keep me happy. Perhaps sales of those products will do better than these sparse offerings and RSC can see a trend and raise their game?

As the top comment on Facebook says.. I have the old one. There are no issues with the old one. I have no need to buy the new one. I won't be buying the new 08 simples. Stupid system. Same story every release now.
Thanks
