So far as detailed on this thread I have installed and run 4 of the Australian routes and they all seemed to install and run OK in OR including snowing settings. No MSTS installed. I thought I would try the Coals to Newcastle route 7.1 to see what happened although it does not mention the OR installation only MSTS.
That also seems to have installed and loads and a quick test starting at the docks shows the various ships, etc with one loco.
Not sure what will work or what if any problems there will be as so far only a very quick try out to see if it loaded . Perhaps somebody who has installed it in OR with no MSTS installed could mention if any problems. The 4 other routes as detailed on this thread are installed and so far I have not downloaded any additional content for Coals to Newcastle.
Thanks Barry.

Also to add downloaded the Wolgan Valley route and a quick test confirms it also loaded and runs OK . The Coals to Newastle route appears to be quite a massive routes with many rail tracks. So at this point my many thanks to the the creators of the routes and for making them available for download. Barry
P.S. Also there is still the zig-zag route to look forward to.

Re: Stand alone routes in OR. What Progress?
Routes independent of MSTS, I started to think about modifying my Geneva route to eliminate all MSTS objects and textures.
The problem I see is with track. roads and ground textures. So I have just downloaded the Manning River Route and looked at what is used there.
Straight away I find A1t25mStrt.s (looks different to my route, I assume this is the .ace file?) and DirtRoads.
I am still thinking about what to do, how do I know which track pieces are MSTS and which are XTracks.
I am still going to need MSTS for the Route Editor, so all the MSTS track/roads will be installed. I would be reluctant to delete them as this will cause problems when I look at other routes for ideas.
Any thoughts would be welcomed.
