Unknown Train Derailment.

Post by freewarescenarios »

Has anyone encountered 'Unknown Train Derailment' ?

Now im a little stuck as the error gives no long/latt details of where this train is when it derails, so i'm slightly worried that its going to be incredibly difficult to locate which AI train is causing the problem. Usually with a derailment the long/latt details are provided.

Any help would be greatly received

Have you got any AI trains performing uncoupling moves? I had this problem when I was writing a "train-spotting" scenario for my own amusement; simply standing on a platform whilst about 20 minutes of traffic movements took place.

Basically I had a train pull into the yard, the loco uncouple and run light engine to the shed. When it uncoupled, I got the above error. Moving the PoV to the arrival point for the train showed that the first wagon was leaping about 8 feet in the air when the loco unhooked, and then landing off the track. Problem solved by changing the status of the wagon to loaded.

Hope this helps.
Chaz.

Hi Chaz, the issue was actually resolved after realising i had an AI train starting in two signal blocks. I moved the AI train to behind the signal and all was fine.
