copying steam/ Ts2013 to new hard drive

Post by koenig »

Hello

With my current set up I was beginning to get low on hard drive disc space so have just installed a new 500GB hard drive, What I would like to do is move all my steam games including TS2013 and my Scottish East Coast Mainline to the new drive, is this easy to do? and do I need to download everything again?

Many thanks

Dead easy to do, https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art ... -YUBN-8129 goes through the procedure.

You shouldn't have to download anything again, though if you have any UKTS Freeware Packs installed it might confuse the installer/update checking routine for these but all your assets and routes will work OK.

Thank you both for your replies. I followed the instructions and it was much easier than I thought with no downloading at all, now at least if I buy more routes I won't have to worry about disc space.
