BR Stannier Mogul

Post by sundog »

Hi - I know this loco has been mentioned in the WLOS Rolling Stock thread already, but I thought it was in danger of being overlooked by other topics being discussed, and I just wanted to give my heartfelt thanks to Kevin and Matt for such a fantastic loco! I've just set up a Freeroam from Carlisle with a passenger train and the experience both visual and soundwise is brilliant. What a superb combination - loco, sound and of course route!

I understand if the Mods feel it more appropriate to move this post to the thread mentioned above, but I really felt this new pack should be credited with its own thread.

Thanks again to Kevin and Matt

+1

Lots and lots of thanks from me
For disclosure, I am affiliated with a third party developer however, I do not know anything about any future releases unless I'm working on them and even then, I'd be breaking years worth of built up trust to say anything about it ;-)

Saw it appear on the UKTS site late yesterday and was able to download. Not installed yet but knowing what Kevin & Matt have done in the past I know it will be great. I have been using the old old version, I believe it goes back to the RS days (?) (don't know who did that one; Kevin as well?) and truly enjoyed it so I can't be disappointed.
Bit of an obscure type the Stanier Mogul, only 40 built. But I like it a lot and is one of the favorites. Going to install and drive this evening :D

Thanks Kevin & Matt

'Why is it that the railway station is so far away from the village?'
The local pauses for a while, then replies:
'They thought it would be a good idea to build it next to the railway line.....'

Doh! Senior moment here! :o

I've just noticed there was a separate thread about the Mogul - and to make it worse I've even spelt poor Mr Stanier's name wrong in the title!

Mods please do as you see fit.
