Curious. Perhaps the bogie settings are misaligned?

Thanks for your answer, but what I meant was if it was "correct" to use it in any of the included scenarios, that is, would it have been used on the route in reality?longbow wrote:Yes - scenario cloning and loco swap-outs are easily done with RW Tools.msdejesus wrote:would it be feasible to clone WLoS's scenarios and replace any of the black 5's and use this loco instead?
Sorry I didn't make myself clear.

Re: Kngtrains Stanier Mogul V2
To be honest there isn't alot of readily available information on the internet about their route coverage but from the limited research I can find they were based from Crewe outward, there is a few black and white photos of them and the citations on the photo indicate Birmingham, Euston, Ashton areas. I'm taking a guess but I would say they seem to be assigned to the southern end of the LMS network rather than the north end, but I don't think they would look to out of place on stopper or freight duties from some of the Black 5 scenarios.msdejesus wrote:Thanks for your answer, but what I meant was if it was "correct" to use it in any of the included scenarios, that is, would it have been used on the route in reality?longbow wrote:Yes - scenario cloning and loco swap-outs are easily done with RW Tools.msdejesus wrote:would it be feasible to clone WLoS's scenarios and replace any of the black 5's and use this loco instead?

I think that's right - as of 1955, all of the class were allocated to sheds south of Manchester.

Re: Kngtrains Stanier Mogul V2
I have some photos of them working on Shap, so safe to assume they made it to Kingmoor however the notes to more than one photo suggest their presence was a fairly rare ocurrance. Standard and Ivatt 4s were pretty common in the north at the end of steam, so substituting a Lobster for a Pig wouldn't be stretching realism too far

If this sounds good with a load on, I'll have to try it on Llantrisant with my 20x16T mineral wagon test train.
I haven't managed to do it with any steam loco yet (although haven't tried the 7F)
ETA - this probably has much to do with my steam train driving technique

Re: Kngtrains Stanier Mogul V2
I suspect that was the 1 53 Crewe-Viaduct Yard, used to pass Penrith early evening. One of those or a Black 5, never a Class 4 engine to my knowledge on that kind of traffic. There were at least three other Crewe-Carlisle fast freights over the 24-hour period so I would have thought they wouldn't have been that rare.bdy26 wrote:I have some photos of them working on Shap, so safe to assume they made it to Kingmoor however the notes to more than one photo suggest their presence was a fairly rare ocurrance. Have you tried the RSC 56XX yet? There is a scenario included called the Challenge or so, where you have to pull exactly that kind of train (20X 16T) over 1 in 50 inclines over the Mendips on the S & D route. Difficult but doable with a lot of trial & error. Good way to improve on your steam train driving techniquerkk01 wrote:.....with my 20x16T mineral wagon test train.

Kevin is looking into some of the issues. The more info you supply the better! But don't forget, this is freeware!
Another 'trademark' sound in there is the guards whistle and 'right-away' from the fireman! Press 'U' followed by 'Y' to activate these sounds. Short whistles on 'B' as well!
Regards
Matt

The Mogul looks and sounds right at home on WLOS, this really is up there with the best steam locos.
Well done Kev and Matt and thank you so much for sharing with us all,
Steve

Re: Kngtrains Stanier Mogul V2
Thanks once again for the comments.
As Matt mentioned, I have been trying to sort out the problems some of you are having.
I think I've tamed the worst of the bouncing about that some are experiencing. Also sorted the problem I think Ash is having with the invisible loco and fixed the boiler pressure.
There are still a couple of things need tweaking, but hope to have a patch out in a day or so.
Cheers,
Kevin

Really Kevin this is grade A support and response. I thank you for the kindness to take the time to rectify these small issues. It's a great model and pocket rocket as I call them. Also thanks to Matt for the top quality sounds as we all are accustomed to by now
Also regarding route coverage etc what better place to check than here?

Re: Kngtrains Stanier Mogul V2
I've uploaded a small patch that should fix the problems people have been having with oscillating locos and low boiler pressure.
Also improved the cab camera position and fixed the problem of the loco not appearing in the game for some people.
Cheers,
Kevin

Thanks for such a prompt response. It's much appreciated.

EDIT The package manager doesn't recognise the new files as different and exits with the message the assets are already installed. I've extracted them using 7-Zip and added them manually.

Why couldn't the steam loco sit down? - Because he had a tender behind.
