Steam engine sound error

Post by matt1314 »

Hello everyone!

Today I ran into a really disgusting sound bug. After some time being in the cabview suddenly there is some kind of a screaming sound inside the cab. The bug appears only on steam locomotives from Kuju, like the 5MT Black 5 or the 7F. Probably it also appears on other steam locos as well. It only appears in cabview though as when I go back to the exterior view, the sound normalizes again.

I made a video to demonstrate that:

I'm using a Creative SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro Series soundcard and EFX is turned on. I used a soundpack from UKTS for the Black 5 in the video but the pack does not resolve this issue to me as the bug appears on default sounds as well.

Is this to be solved somehow? Did you guys run into this problem at any time?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Are you on automatic fireman?

I'm pretty sure the sound on the video is just the Auto Fireman when it loads coal.

Cheers,

Chris.

Yeah, I also thought about the fireman as well, as the sound seems to sound like him shoveling coal into the boiler.

Yes, I have activated him to be automatic. Should I turn it off?

Okay, I turned off the automatic fireman and the bug seems to be gone now. Every time I shovel the coal myself (by opening the firebox doors) I hear the correct shoveling sound and it's not bugged...

Got this on several loco's. Had to remove the stoking sound files so i could use auto fireman. I did get a fix for the Jubilee thatt someone kindly did - there is a thread on this.

Seems to be not just Kuju steamers _ have had it in locos from JT and AN Other.

Okay, right, then I'm not the only one with this. Could you point that thread to me if you can find it?

Here it is - he may send you the file if he has not ready to load the fix for the Jubilee (only). No universal fix yet,

Sorry for bumping an old thread but I'm having this issue too with the auto fireman. Apart from using a manual fireman or deleting the stoking files, does anyone know if there are any fixes available?
