Rolls Royce Victory Rd Derby siding
Is that oil tankers I can see being unloaded in the siding that runs off the main line at Peartree??

Yes. An infrequent tanker working goes there to/from Grangemouth. At the moment it uses a Colas Class 66. The location is Sinfin

Ah yes... Sin Fin...
Asda also have a supermarket there - I only know this as I used to work in the distribution warheouse that serves it many years ago and the store was nicknamed 'Sinn Fein...' for some reason...
Anyway, I booked on several railtours down the years with the intention of travelling over the branch to Sin Fin, though sadly for a variety of reasons, none of these tours ever actually went down there... So, with this route, hopefully I can get in and out!!!

For a short time there was a platform at the far end and workers' trains ran to it a few times a day. It didn't last very long, certainly not five years.

Further along towards the Osmaston Rd bridge we still have the platform that was put in for the Baseball ground football specials.
