Train Sounds

Is anyone else out there suffering like me with some horribly loud and distorted sounds in OR ?? It's not consistent and some trains/locos sound fine while some other mostly EMU/DMU units for example the Electrostar in particular sound awful ! Running In MSTS there are no sound issues whatsover ! Also is it planned to offer 5.1 surround sound in OR as it's standard with the old lady ! (MSTS). Otherwise graphically and in particular signalling and subsequent AI behaviour has come on leaps and bounds through the experimental releases so well done to all those involved ! It would be the icing on the cake though for the sounds to match other areas,or is it a problem with my setup ???

That one fell on deaf ears. Maybe it is just me who's had sound issues ??

I think I have had loud and distorted sound but it would be extremely rare, it may depend on exactly how the SMS file has been setup for the model concerend. I have though had a good number of models with some sounds to soft. This is a question one could probably put to Noisemaker on the Elvas tower forums, he appears to be an audio person from way back and specialises in MSTS sound.
