Q: People say that government is a weighty thing: would it be an easier thing in outer space then?
Hot air expands to fill the space available.

Are train simmers just reluctant to leave their childhood behind them?

Surely not, they're much more inclined to view it from a nice 3/4 lineside angle :-)

Q. The Green Cross Man was there to help you do what?

Q. As I was going to St Ives, I met a man with seven wives, Every wife had seven sacks, Every sack had seven cats, Every cat had seven kits, Kits, cats, sacks, wives. Never mind how many but why was he going to St. Ives?

Can't resist: 49 sacks and 343 cats... quite a few.

I can't help with St Ives as you didn't say which one! If it were St Ives, Cornwall, he would be going for the tin-rush because he was a miner and we sure hope he wasn't a minor; if St Ives in Hunts it would be because he had got all his wives to take sacks of flour to the mill... and the cats were to chase away the 2401 mice in the mill :-)

Q: Everyone knows the loco having speed record for Steam; what is the current Diesel loco speed record?

A. That would depend on if you class the HST as a loco or not?

Q. If my name was William Joseph Dunlop what would I be famous for?

I don't wish to tread on your question, but I'm too tired to think of an answer.

If my name was Chicken Licken, what would be causing me much angst?

Very good, Geoff, your question is well disguised.

Errr, umm, arrrgh, look, hmmm, I can't think of a question, does that make me a procrasinator?

Give us a pint, will you, I left the old nag at home.

Which would you prefer to take chunks out of you: a vampyre, a werewolf, a zombie, or the mother-in-law's vicious tongue?

A vampire, they always end up in the best movies. Watch out for the wooden stakes though

The Duck Billed Platypus, evolution gone awry or god having a joke?

A: Neither, it's just that Australia got hooked on some niche marketing without an exit strategy!

Q: Ok, heard the one about how much wood a woodchuck can chuck?, well what's it doing chucking wood anyway?

It's all in the name, they toss the caber*, woodchuck style.
(*Scottish form of 'pole dancing,' but with splinters.)

Why is it that a splinter in the finger causes pain x100 greater in proportion compared to the size of splinter? :-?
