Hi,
I think I have asked this question before but here goes, I have noticed that when the player train passes parallel to AI traffic the AI traffic losses its outer shell revealing the interior.
I think the reason for this was down to the Alpha mask but I am not sure.
Is there a fix for this please?
Kind regards
Mike.

Hi Mike,
When you start MSTS before running the route go to Advance settings and check that the train object quality and train object textures quality sliders are set on 3 ie full on.
If you are using OR I haven't clue why it is happening, unless it is a resource problem

OR doesn't cope with alphas (in the way MSTS does) as i found out when trying to take comparison screengrabs on Thames Trent. The problem you mention appeared for me when running perfectly good stock, on a perfectly good route. If you are trying to run any route/activity/stock made for MSTS, on the OR platform, questions would be better directed at the OR forum.michaelhendle wrote:Hi Mike,

Re: London to Brighton
Hi Mike and Clive,
I have the sliders set as per your suggestion, but when in passenger (5), I have the coach in front of me disappear as an AI train passes by.
I remember now sending an Email to "EB" about this problem, they told me it was an Alpha mask issue and that the cause of this problem had left them for pastures green.
I can live with it, but it would have been nice to have had a fix.
Kind regards
Mike.

Hi Mike,
Since the demise of EB a lot of their patches are in the library, have a look there to see if there is a patch for it.

It is something to do with Alpha sorting, I imagine its the glass in the passenger view interfering with the alpha that the passing train was made with.
to the best of my knowledge it was never fixed.
Just like some rolling stock falls apart under station roofs etc..
