Maybe "Quiet" rather than clear - ref WW1 and specificallyTheTazman wrote:Nothing here. All clear on the Western Front.... what ever that means.

A very powerful book, then silent film - not much to do with railways - not even narrow gauge Ordinance supply lines...

I thought it was a ww 2 reference. I watch that program battlefield on discovery channel quite a bit. I could do with a read while I wait lol.
Re: Important information about SteamPipe
Still not updated here. I went to the RSC Facebook page to see if there was any update and didn't see anything new. Anyone seen anything elsewhere?

Nah! Seen nothing, no update (mindyou, I did'nt get the big one from last week either). Why do they make these panic inducing announcements and then ...zippo?

Re: Important information about SteamPipe
Well I don't know if its just me, but looking at my Steam folder files, quite a few have todays date on them so something must have happened when I logged on, as they are dated/timed at same time as I started Railworks this morning.
Edit: Forgot to mention that all my .ncf files have gone and been replaced with 1 .acf fle, as stated by Dave above (I was typing when Dave Posted the above

Perhaps mine's been done as well then. I didn't notice at the time but on checking I've also now got an .acf file dated today. The process, if it's now complete, certainly wasn't anything like that described in the post on http://www.engine-driver.com.

Re: Important information about SteamPipe
Looks like mine updated when I started up Steam this morning. Strangely, it has left two .ncf files in the steamapps folder - railworks bonusscenario01.ncf and nse class 47.ncf.
Has anyone else seen this? I hope it doesn't signal a problem.

My railway photos are now on Google + - links to the albums are in this thread http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 9&t=149558
Lots of steam and early diesels from 1959 to 1963.

Cannot restart after clear cache, get a popup to contact Steam support. Have notified support at rscom.

Re: Important information about SteamPipe
I sat on Steam for over an hour this morning and nothing happened
So, biting the bullet, I did a 'manual' verify cache and lo & behold the update appeared and 20 minutes later job done
As far as I can see there have been updates in the Contents folder, none in the Railworks core folder (and the version number, v27.5a, as not changed) and in the steamapps folder there has been three files changed:
appmanifest_24010.acf, sourceinit.gcf & winui.gcf
Now the tricky bit; I ran the Sim and it worked. Phew
Not holding breath though until I have given it a real bashing

Re: Important information about SteamPipe
So prior to switching on and updating, I have backed up my whole railworks folder but is there just one or two folders within that, that have been updated/affected?
Re: Important information about SteamPipe
Those of you who have had the new update could you let me know if it has caused any problems with any 3rd party downloads or any reskins they have please?
