Add ons from older versions of Train sim/railworks

Post by class1987 »

Hi everybody I'm new on here :) just wanted to know as I have now bought Train simulator 2013 do the locomotives, freight wagons, routes etc all work on free roams/quick drive sessions as well as their scenarios?
I was thinking of using the class 66 and 70 on a free roam and also when I create my own routes.

I have noticed on the justtrains.net site they have Voyager Advanced add on for Railworks 3 but will it be compatible with 2013 at all or will I have to wait until it becomes compatible?

Chears, Ian. :)

Not everything is QD compatible. The 70 and 66s are though. Also the Voyager is compatible but doesn't include Quick Drive, and the scenarios are for ECML, GWML, Bristol to Exeter and the Ruhr-Sieg Line, along with the Cajon Pass.

Actually, download this: http://rail-sim.de/railsimnew/index.php ... ve-voyager

That has Quick Drive for the Voyager.

I also would like to know which has been bugging me for sometime now do the downloads on this site work with train sim 2013 as well as there are alot of class 66 liveries and other freight wagons that I would like to have on the game too.

Lastly does anybody have the class 67 advanced with the car carriers on will they work on 2013 too?

Yes, they do. Same as last time, scenarios for GWML and Bristol to Exeter but no Quick Drive. Also note the many 66 liveries are for the old RSDL 66 which is discontinued.

Hi,

We are updating our products to include the new TS2013 quick drive feature. These will be available to download from our website when ready, like our other updates that we've already issued.

Thanks,

Simon

That's good news about the 2013 updates when do you think these will become available?
If I purchased the Voyager add on now and say the update comes out next month for example would I have to re-buy the product or will there be a free download update? :)

Nope. Quick Drive etc will be free updates. Only once I think JT has had an update where you have to pay, and that was the Voyager to Voyager Advanced, which was discounted at £7.99, and basically transformed this unit.
