Adobe releases Creative Suite 2 (from 2005) for free online

And various other sites are reporting that Adobe have released an old version of CS2 for free.
Do a Google news search for Adobe.

Although Adobe's download link currently has 'Site Area Temporarily Unavailable'.

Interesting.

Both the links now give the impression that this may have been a bit of a "balls-up" by Adobe in that it is primarily for previously registered users of CS2 to be able to re-install should they so wish now that the activation servers have gone down.

However; this does appear to have gone "viral" and it would possibly be good PR for Adobe to make it officially free for personal use.

The links to the Adobe site did actually work when I followed it just now...
