TaDs ALCO RS11
Don't know if this has been posted already (i did browse but couldn't see anything) but Ulf from Vr has modeled an ALCO RS11 B-B loco for TaDs http://www.trains-and-drivers.net/epage ... D=14738033 , the loco comes in Lehigh Valley railroad with 2 different numbers and you get four scenarios for use on Horseshoe Curve. It's a great drive with some nice sounds and some excellent exhaust smoke that reacts to the throttle settings.

Sorry Dave, i'm not that able screenshot wise hopefully someone else more able than myself could oblige. It's a blinding model i'm really taken with it I've completed one activity which is a 40 minute slog with a pair of RS11 up the grade to Altoona Loop.

Long hood forward and it was a good long slog up to the loop, thanks to this loco i've dusted off Horseshoe curve which i'd not driven since it's release last year.

Re: TaDs ALCO RS11
Bought this last night and it is very good.
Smoke effect when under power is fantastic

I might have to change the driver for the HS Curve one as they look a bit more grubby.
Repaint kit included and looks quite logically mapped.

Unfortunately no autonumbers so you will require a new skin for each and every number variant
and it is only long hood forward so some reskins might not be prototypical.
BUT dont let that put you off it is a very well made model, the video on the TaD website made the cab look a bit washed out but it doesnt look like that on the model
Very happy and I think this is the first time Ive actually used the HSC since release.

I believe that this was a collaborative effort with VR. Caused a little bit of a stir on the German forums initially.

That's why I always go on the other forums, so, you don't miss out on anything. If you look on the RWA site, some repaints have already appeared for this loco, plus a few others are in the pipeline.

Re: TaDs ALCO RS11
It's a superb model - my only complaint is that the engine smoke should be filthy black

It is black as black can be when it should be, which is when first under load.

Indeed when you open the throttle you get a lovely filthy cloud of exhaust smoke .Griphos wrote:It is black as black can be when it should be, which is when first under load.

I also like the way it coughs and splutters when you start up the engine and slowly builds up power
