Rail type

Post by Daffer »

Hi all!

Here is a simple question to all you experts.

I am trying to extend the West Somerset line through Bishops Lydeard in the Bristol to Exeter scenario. I do not know if it is important but I can not identify the rail used in the scenario. I have found a rail that matches with the buffers, but it has a catenery above, and I really do not want any electrification on the West Somerset line.

I was pleasantly surprised when I started to add the wye West Somerset recently installed, the ground work had already been done.

How can one identify any track which has already been laid in a scenario. I get the gradient curvature etc. from the bottom bar but what is the name of the track?

The only way is to check the routes assets by using RW Tools, do you have this, as it's certainly a very helpful and useful piece of donationware to obtain if you don't, come back on here and we'll assist you in how to go about looking at your route assets utilising this function.
