Curiously, the fourth scenario in the Strathclyde 101 package (ST04) now seems to be missing, and I still can't SELECT the Class 66 v.2 packaged scenarios from the 'Collection' screen, but hey! who's quibbling?
Can't help feeling that it should have been possible to take a detailed forensic approach to this little problem but never mind, the sledgehammer worked, and (praise be!) I've got a backup of all the non-RSC Assets as at 23rd December...
Thanks again, gptech, and a well-backed-up New Year to all...

Yup, did that - only took 12 hours (we have VERY slow internet access in the Sussex countryside...) and it's worked. Thanks, gptech...---possibly worth letting Steam install a completely new copy of the game?

Re: CLASS101 Strathclyde
Hmm, I've recently downloaded the Class 101 Strathclyde and now my class 66 V2 won't respond in the collection screen either. It is though, in the RSC asset folder and I can swap the earlier class 66's with RWTools.

I wouldn't worry too much about the Collection screen, go to the Main Menu and fire up scenarios from there.

Re: CLASS101 Strathclyde
I am currently enjoying this on E&G, but I wonder, is there anybody who has the original 101 and the SPTE 101, if so, how do they compare performance wise? The latter seems to drive as per the real thing, but I know the original was slated in some quarters for poor physics and a patch is available in the file library for it.
Is it worth my time applying the patch to the SPTE 101?
As always, any advice greatly appreciated.

Re: CLASS101 Strathclyde
I believe the SPT 101 had the physics modified in comparison to the overpowered original (the testing of all the scenarios is probably one reason why RSC haven't rereleased it in its original form). How many people own both packs to compare I'm not sure - I don't unfortunately.
I believe the mods are effective, but verifying cache should repair if you don't like it.

Re: CLASS101 Strathclyde
Thanks for that Ben.
It certainly feels ok, bit lively in 1st gear, but other than that I would say it is a good representation.
I think I will adopt the stance of if it isn't broken, don't try and fix it
Thanks again,
Richard
