Removing and Re-Installing a RSC Route

Post by Iluka »

Hi All

I am still having major problems getting The Maerdy Branch to start - refer Link below :-

http://forums.uktrainsim.com/viewtopic. ... 1&t=128837

I have emailed RSC twice now and their only responses have been to Verify Integrity of Game Cache and Clear Blueprint Cache which does not fix the problem as I have done this 3 times now.

If I delete this Route and then run Verify Integrity of Game Cache will the Route be re-installed as I am 99% sure now that I got a "Dodgy" Download from Steam.

Regards

Yes if you uninstall the route (or what you have of it) then Steam (should - all being well) re-download it complete.

Hi All

Well I am getting Absolutely nowhere with my problem.

I couldn't find the Route in the Train Simulator Utilities after looking for :-
The Maerdy Branch
J94 Memories of Maerdy Pack

Can someone advise please what it is called in Train Simulator Utilities just in case I have missed it.

It is however showing up in the Train Simulator 2013 but all I get is a Black Screen when I try to run this Route

I then uninstalled it using RW_Tools (It showed up there OK) and then Verified Integrity of Game Cache and also I then cleared the Blueprint Cache.

619 Files were aquired OK and The Maerdy Branch was re-installed but again when I went to run it all I got was the Black Screen again.

Regards

If you uninstall it, I would suggest you doing a hard drive registry clean up first, that will get rid of any ''fluff'' that's been left behind, before you install all of the files all over again, and then do a defrag of your hard drive to ensure that none of the files have become fragmented, then give the route another try.

Hi Steve

Thanks for your assistance.

What is really puzzling me though is I cannot locate this Route in the Train Simulator Utilities so if someone can advise exactly what it is called in there and if I still can't find it then I will then un-install it using RW_Tools and then do exactly as you suugested.

Any help at all with this problem I can assure you is greatly appreciated.

The most recent releases do not appear in the Package Manager.

I have added a new post today on your other thread Mike, just in case that helps you with your little problem.
