What am I missing?

HI all, quick question, I've downloaded the Airedale route, both parts plus the UK Finescale track, however when I go to load the route, I get two error messages, any idea what I'm missing? Thanks

Failed to find SMS file
File: raeurotrack0ex.sms

And

Failed to open texture file
routes\airedale\textutes\acleantrack1.ace

Hi Adam, welcome to the forum, if you go into your normal MSTS setup and open up the
Sound Folder, scroll down until you find the raeutrack0ex.sms file which is in there, so all
you have to do is copy this file into the Airedale Route Sound Folder.
Go into the Texture folder of the Default Route Europe1 and in there is the acleantrack1.ace
file and this needs to be copied into the Airdale Texture Folder.
If ever you have a error message similar to this always look in the 6 Default Routes for
them and if all else fails ask on this Forum as they may be non default items.

just spotted that I made a mistake in my original post and missed the ro in the file name.

Hi Adam,

Did you download all 4 files for the route? as there is a patch that is supposed to cure the missing sms problem.
With some of the routes there is a batch file that copies things over, if this route has one in it's 'route' folder did you run it?

I currently do not have this route but if you give me a day or so I'll look into it for you.

Hi Adam, sometimes the batch file does not copy all the files over from the Default Routes when
run, so it is simply a matter of searching for the missing ones and copying them over.
I've just tested the Patch ID 2909 to see exactly what files where installed and the ones that are
missing were not amongst them so running it would not install them.
As far as adding any missing files I had to do this with the E.L.R. and was told to do this by the
author.

Once a route has been initially installed I would strongly recommend the use of Route Riter to "check" the route using the relevant button on the the first TAB. This should identify most missing files, including sound files directly related to the route.

I'll have a look, I only downloaded part 1 and 2, didn't see the others, I'll look for them now.
