Billionaire Benefactor scenario trouble CS

Post by orangzeb »

Hi, again, I am having trouble with this career scenario , did not try auto fireman yet but with manual firing I either run out of water or can't get to the targets in time  anyone of you completed this with manual firing ?? or should I just go with autofireman ?

I tried this scenario 4 times with manual firing but miserably failed as I am running Train Simulator 2013 which has new HUD and controls for even steam locos. I know how to add water to tender but that is not useful if my regulator is always at 100% or so ...

I tried all reverser and regulator combinations but I can not get the fastest speed somehow and even if when I get the desired speed I loose water level too much. If anyone of you have played this scenario then you may know there is not much up or downhill in this scenario so that makes it hard to refill the water and as all destinations are timed so I cannot risk throwing down my throttle to a lower percentage because then I loose my speed...

any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Its a bug with all mulitple steam engines. Big Boy / Challenger are treated as a multiple steam engine. RSC no about the bug. In the mean time to get round it run multiple steam engines in auto fireman mode.

Actually if you do a search in the RW3 forum you will find quite a big thread on this issue. It has been around for a while.

Have found the scenario and have completed it. With the right combination of throttle and reverser it can be done within the time limits. I will let you figure out what they are as that is half the challenge. I had 2 or 3 goes at it before I got it right.
