downloading freeware from uktrainsim

hi all knew to this and absoloutly must say first class site

i have just ordered the dorset coast from ukts cd and cant wait for its arrival (excuse the pun)

i think its great you get a months free downloading from the ukts freeware

as i am from glasgow i am going to download the glasgow - carlise route tonight as this is a line i have used many a time before

i am knew to this is it just a case of me downloading the file and installing it then loading up

there are a few activitys i want to add as well so isit a case of me picking my activity and installing the activity then downloading the stuff at the bottom and installing them to the orrect files and bobs your uncle

a bit i got stuck on earlier was a cab for a train i downloaded the 334 and the cab but when i start the train up there is no cab just the screen view without a driving cab what have i messed up here???

Hi Ross, welcome to the Forums, have you downloaded this file which I think is the one you
need ?.

Class334 EMU Cabview [2632976 bytes] - 334cabV1.zip File ID: 12248 Date: 14 May 2005 - 4443 Downloads

If you have, what you have to do is unzip the file and in it is a Folder called Cabview, copy
this away from where you have stored your file download and rename it 334Cab.
Now copy this renamed folder into your common.cab folder within your MSTS Trainset Folder,
then locate it in the common.cab folder and open it up.
The last thing to do is copy the File Class334C.cvf and put it into the Cabview Folder within
the appropiate 334 loco Folder which should contain a Cabview Folder, if there is not one then
simply create one before making the move.
The situation you describe is what happens when the Cabview is not installed in the correct
place and so MSTS cannot create a Cabview when needed.
