Mike, I've found the guardrails belonging to MickeAr in his Albula Line route, this can be obtained from various European Railworks websites, including the UKTS library, but, you'll have to download the whole route to get to his scenery asset pack, I'm afraid.

I would not loose too much time searching for those few missing assets. They are used in only a few places throughout the route and you would be hardpressed to locate them even if you had them. I'm not sure myself where I used them. TransportSteve is correct about the source of the guardrail. The Abula route is a great route and worth having if you are interested in mountain railways. (I live in Austria, so I am). To the best of my recollection, the only place in the route where that guardrail was used was on the viaduct at Mallow. I probably used it without remembering where it came from.

In response to several persons who contacted me about making a v.2 of the Irish Rail EMD201 liaised to the new Class66, I have now obtained that loco. It is easy enough to alias to the cab of the new loco, but so far I have been unable to get the instruments to work. The new HUD works OK, but none of the levers or dial needles move. I think in the new version, the controls are used with scripts which are compressed and not readable so I cannot see how the instructions are given. I tried to work around this by cloning the Class66 and then substituting the shape file of the 201 for the Class66 shape file - but the result was an explosion of colors and a flashing screen. It would seem that there is some kind of protection built in to the new Class66 which makes substituting an alternative shape file difficult if not impossible. Another issue is that despite using the 201 simulation file, I cannot get the maximum speed up to 100 mph - the most I can get out of a light engine is 85 mph and 75 mph when hauling eight coaches. I will continue to experiment to see if there is a solution to this.

I have just uploaded 2 scenarios for dublin - cork route, (under a different name as i cant remember how to login into the other one). I have made a 10:00 Newbridge - Dublin and 13:00 Dublin - Cork, if there is any problems please let me know. They have a nice ammount of other AI trains so this should make it more enjoyable.

My files have been rejected for some weird reason. Apparently the file is empty. When its actually Not. I will try again and if that doesnt work ill thing of something else. Also i have uploaded a new scenario that i have just created. Waterford - Ballina DFDS. You will need to drive the container train from cherryville junction to portarlintgon via Kildare.

Sorry guys I have completely lost the plot.
I have down loaded the Dublin-Limerick-Cork 30145,30146,30147,30148 & 30158.
I'm having a Gray moment and can't for the life of me remember what to do with them now to get them into train simulator 2013. :-?
Can some one point me in the right direction.

Thanks for that Mark.

After some time I have found the utilities.exe folder and the manager tab but where do I go from there.?
I never had to do this the last time I downloaded the Limerick route but that was with Railworks 2012.
I'm completely lost with this process. :(
Anybody got any step by step instructions.?

Hi Brendan

Thank you for completing the Cork section of your excellent route. Just a couple of minor points:

1. I am experiencing very bad flashing of your platform railings (IERailing.bin) at Dublin platforms 1,5 ,9 and at other platforms on the route. I have tried changing AA, AF, TSX off/on and also other RailWorks settings to no avail. I have also attempted to replace these railings using RW_Tools with no success. This was also a problem with V3.0 running under RW3. I wondered whether you or anyone else was experiencing a similar effect.

2. There appears to be a decal visible between the tracks as you leave Dublin station.

Once again many thanks for a brilliant route.

On the flashing fences, yes I am also experiencing this with TS2013. It would seem that something has changed since 2012 or possibly RW2. It may be that I am using an older procedural shader or there has been some change in the export process. I will try exporting the source file again to see if that makes any difference. If that does not solve the issue, I will probably have to go back to the original file in 3dCrafter (if I still have it) and re-export from there.

The decals at Heuston Station are intentional - they are fairly high level resolution decals and I think look better in this fairly crowded area than a painted tile would look - for example, the car park which has a mixture of modelled vehicles and 'photo' vehicles.

I am still working on aliasing the EI Class 201 to the new version of the Class66. I have now got the instruments working to some extent - but for some reason, they do not show the correct readings - for example, the speed reading in the speedometer is not the same as the speed in the HUD.

Hello,

I celebrate the new release of this stunning route. But I have a bit problem.

I am unable to search a rolling stock of one activity that was included in the route. The material is:

Brendan\IrishRail\railvehicles\freight\eas1.bin

What is that and where it is?

Hello

I just saw your message. The vehicle you refer to is an open freight car and is used as a loose consist in the Limerick to Limerick Junction scenario. I don't understand why you do not have it as, so far as I remember, it was included with the assets for an earlier version of the route. I did not upload it as a separate item which is why you cannot find it in the library.

So far as I can ascertain no-one else has mentioned that they are missing this car, but perhaps this could be confirmed by other users of the route. If you have RW-Tools, an immediate fix would be to go into the scenario editor and delete this loose consist or substitute another car for it and the scenario should then work.

I have recently obtained up-dated speed limits for the route from Irish Rail's annual network report which has resulted in more higher speed running and a faster timetable for the Dublin to Cork service and am gradually adjusting the current limits to incorporate these. If it is confirmed that the freight car is in fact missing, I will include it with a Patch with the new speed limits.

I also missed some items, but downloading the archive number 27518 (All the assets for the previous version) has fixed all missing objects, including this loose consist.

Back to work after a long break. I am filling in the remaining gap in the scenery for the Ballybrophy to Birdhill section - taking my time as there is almost 40 miles of route to be done. I also decided to see if my modelling skills will extend to a steam engine and I have been working on one such loco for the last two weeks. Attached are two screenshots. Texturing is still to be done. No prizes for guessing the name of the loco!
