Route_Riter Library Registration Error

Post by dforrest »

I am getting the following error very many times (different .w file name each time) on all routes I check in Route_Riter:
An error -2147319779 occurred in subroutine "RealWorld" in C:\program Files\Route Riter\TempFiles\w-006083+015017.e

Error Description = Automation error

Library not registered
Can anyone assist?

Hi David,

does route riter behave the same for a default route?

Hi David,

The library reference indicates that there is a dll not registered.
I would recommend a reinstall with the latest version and see if that helps.

Cheers

Hi, in addition to previous post, if you are using Vista or 7, try running the installer as an administrator when you reinstall, - on my system, I had all sorts of can't errors until I did. :)

Thanks for your suggestions. Replies are:

Mick - Yes, the same on EUROPE1

Derek - reinstalled RR and the problem remains

Mark - I use VISTA 64 and the problem remains when I reinstall as administrator

Just noticed a typo in the error messages as I typed it. The suffix for the .w file is obviously .w not .e

Hi, did you reinstall from an administrator account, or did you right click the installer & choose run as administrator?

Hi, have you tried copying the jar files into the java classes folder as suggested in the readme?

Mark, is this what you are referring to?
It also includes TsUtil v3.4.4 which is the latest version. Replace your existing TsUtil folder with this one (or replace the classes in your Java classes folder with these files if that is how you have TsUtils installed).
It appears to refer to TSutil and I have TsUtil installed as a sub-directory of Route_Riter and the "class" files are in there.

Hi, copied from RR readme
Note re TsUtil:

TsUtil is a suite of utilities for MSTS and is included with Route_Riter
with the permission of its author, Carl-Heinz Rave. TsUtil files are installed by default
into Route_Riter\TsUtil, however on some systems the utilities have not worked from this
position and Route_Riter would not run.

If this happens, proceed as follows:-
1. The user must download the latest Java version from http://www.java.com and install it.
2. They should then go to the folder c:\program files\Java\jre6 - (note might be program files (x86) for 64 bit systems!) Mark
3. In that folder should be two sub-folders, 'bin' and 'lib'
4. Make a 3rd sub-folder named classes
5. Copy all of the files from the Route_Riter\TsUtil folder into Java\Jre6\classes
6. Run RR and on the TsUtil tab click the 'Show TsUtil Version' button

If all is well you should then see a report showing all of the TsUtil files and their version numbers.
Hope this helps

If you are using a 64bit os, can I suggest that you install both the 32bit & 64bit versions of Java.

You may need to fire up Internet Explorer (64 bit) for the java site to give it as a default option. Alternatively take a look for "other downloads" or similar on the java site.

I seem to recall that this solved a problem I had a while back.

Mark, Geoffrey, I followed both of your instructions and I now have two up-to-date versions of Java installed (version 7) which I did not have before, but it has not helped my problem with Route Riter.

Thanks anyway,
David

Done but unfortunately no improvement.

I have also tried reinstalling .NET Framework but that has not helped.
