Missing 08
Hi All,
I purchased the 08 pack some time ago from Railworks.
It no longer appears in 'my downloadable content' and I wonder if anyone could suggest a way to re-install it or get Steam to acknowledge that I had purchased it.
Thanks
Dave

Re: Missing 08
Same here. I purchased the Class 08 in the days of Rail Simulator. It came as an executable file, but could not be installed into TS 2013 as it asked for the old Rail Simulator. So I installed it, and also the MK1 patch. I went to the whole process of licensing the Class 08, and it installed with no problem into Rail Simulator. Then I copied the Class08 folder to
\assets\RSDL\RailSimulator\Railvehicles\Diesel in TS 2013. It works fine, but it has no raindrops on the windshield.
I had the same issue with Island of Wight, but managed to get it into TS 2013 following the same procedure. Why pay again for something I already paid for?
Hope it helps.

Re: Missing 08
Its not missing, I just didn't want to start a new post. Have just installed the Dark Railway V2 and played the scenario "New Years day on the Dark Railway Part 1" I notice that when I select the wipers using either the keyboard, screen overlay, or the Cab switch on the Class08 NSE variant (RSDL) which is used here, nothing happens the wipers do not move or work. I tried the scenario "Frozen Five" on the same route which uses the Class08 BR Green variant (RSC) they are working .
Both of the above appear not to be TS2013 updated.
Now there is a Black Class08 shunter which is selectable from the Quick Drive Menu which I have just tried and it has all the TS2013 functions.
I am now getting a litlle confused here. Is there three varients ? There is Class08 in the RSDL assets folder, a Class08 in the RSC assets folder (not updated with rain effects etc). Which assets folder is this Black Class08 shunter selectable from the QD menu ?
Can I be enlightened please ?
Thanks
Antony

Re: Missing 08
i believe that the black class 08 you are referring to may be the one which comes with the wood head routeAjay1 wrote:Its not missing, I just didn't want to start a new post. Re: Missing 08
RSDL = original 08 pack made for Railsimulator and was available on Steam until it got pulled. (along with other items)Ajay1 wrote: I am now getting a litlle confused here. Is there three varients ? RSC = (Guessing) "Up the Junction pack" Pack of shunters, which came with the broad gauge route / shunter too
Rain Effects Applied Version = Came with Woodhead (only one that I know of that was updated).
Hope that helps

Re: Missing 08
Thanks for your explanations. So, until, & if, RSC updates these. To use a Class08 with the rain effects and lights etc in a scenario ,one would have to swap out and replace the older 08's with the Woodhead supplied one, correct ?
also it only comes in black, what a pity.
Antony.

That would appear to be correct.

Re: Missing 08
It's more likely RSC will introduce a Class 08 v2 in a single livery with TSX effects for £11.99 rather than update the old version in my opinion.

Re: Missing 08
I'm almost sure this has happened to me also, I had the original RS Class 08 but then found that the Steam DLC version had extra texture files, they were 2 bump map files. During one of the sale periods I noticed the DLC Class 08 was only about £2 so purchased it to have it on Steam for easy re install plus the 2 additional files. Now like the OP I have no Class 08 and it is not listed in my DLC on Steam.detectorman wrote:Hi All,

Re: Missing 08
I have only ever had the Steam version of the original 08 pack and it is still present on my system. It is shown on the Collection screen but the icon is unreactive. It is selectable from icons on the Single Player/Standard Scenarios screen and works fine from there.

Re: Missing 08
Well I have to think I must be mistaken then, Steam shows a list of your purchases and it isn't in there either. I must have thought about buying it again of Steam but didn't.
