Hi
I'm wondering if any of you have managed to get rid of that awful flickering in the overhead wires when using TSX-mode?
I really want to build a swedish route, and in Sweden most railways are electrified.
For me it's gotten to the point where I no longer use RailWorks due to this problem.
I have Anti Aliasing set to SSAA 2x1 and Anisotrophic x8.
I have tried to go all the way up to SSAA 3x3 whithout any inprovement.
Is there anything I can do about it, or am I in the hands of rs.com?
All the best .... Mats

Re: Overhead wires flickering
Mats,
I don't think anyone is truly happy with the AA in TS2013, or TS2012 before, that whilst using TSX. Even using 2x2 SSAA and Aniso x 8 I don't get good results outside a small area surrounding the player train, and overhead wires being rendered as a series of dashes, or at best jagged lines, is one of the more noticeable consequences. Before TSX I was able to use the Nvidia control panel to get a really pleasing display but TSX has removed the ability to do that.
In short, unless anyone can suggest anything, I think we're stuck with whatever RSC give us.

To quote Jack Nicholson (in "Terms of Endearment"): "You're in the hands of something bigger and more powerful than yourself. So, sit back and enjoy the ride."

I wonder if I wouldn't rather be assimilated by the Borg then be in the hands of rs.com.jevon wrote:...

Well, all I can hope for then is for enough people to complain about this so that something is done.
Thank you both for your answers.
Cheers .... Mats

Re: Overhead wires flickering
Pages and pages have been written on this subject.
In a nutshell, we're stuffed. (And that isn't my first choice of word to use, either!)
